No one's Pov
After a late night studying, Amelia woke up to her alarm blaring in her ear. She had forgotten she hit snooze just 10 minutes ago. She walked into the bathroom rubbing her baggy eyes. She didn't release how tired she looked until she spotted herself in the mirror. That's when her mind started overflowing with insecurities and hatred. That's how the day began..After her mental breakdown, Amelia got ready. Concealer was covering her eye bags, there was thick eyeliner covering up her red puffy eyes, her hair half up and half down so no one would suspect she hadn't showered in days. Her perfume bottle was almost empty due to how much she lathered herself in it 5 days of the week. When it turned seven she shoved a water bottle in her bag and left off to school. Nothing to eat, just water. As she entered the school people could see her ribs through layers of fabric, he legs were skin and bones under her sweatpants, and cuts were hiding behind her grey sleeves. After her first class was over she trembled to the near by restroom. As she was walking through the halls she could hear people whispering about how bad they felt or pitying her about how she felt. She hated that the most.
In the restroom Amelia fixed her hair and cleaned up her makeup. She played with her black hair making sure it looked clean and tidy. She was interrupted when a group of girls entered the bathroom. It started with the pitiful looks, then the gossiping in a different stall, then the concerned comments and offers for someone to talk to.
• Amelia's Pov •
A group of girls walked in while I was fixing up my hair. They looked at me as if I was a stray kitten standing in the road. I saw them scurry to a stall close by and start whispering about me. "She's so skinny is she ok?" "I think she needs a therapist, I can help her" "I should give her some dry shampoo her hair looks awful" I was so tired of hearing all the pity. Though it wasn't just that, the way they twisted there words almost made them sound like they were trying to convince themselves they were such amazing people. It was almost like they were teasing me but being empathetic at the same time. One of the girls came over to me, she looked wealthier with a pair of black leggings, a turtle neck, with black boots and nice jewelry. She calming asked if I needed someone to talk to because it seemed like I needed some help. Her friends were in the back stalls forcing themselves not to laugh or let out a giggle. "No I don't, maybe you should go find someone else to pity and leave me the fuck alone. Your not a good person, your full of your self, you are so fucking loud, and you are SO SELF CENTERED. But you still try to prove to yourself your such a good person. Go fuck yourself Kate." "Amelia why is there blood dripping from your hand..?" I looked down at my palm, it was cover in blood dripping from my writs. I rushed out of the bathroom leaving a trail of blood leading to the nurses office. When I opened the door I held my hand behind my back. "Hello Mrs. Colten, could I borrow some bandage for my friend she scraped her knee. The nurse pushed down her glasses questioning me with her eyes. I smiled awkwardly waiting for a response. "Fine, but the next time she gets hurt she needs to come here herself. Don't try anything with me." I nodded and thanked her for her empathy. When I pushed open the door I left some blood smudged on the handle. I noticed Mrs. Colten gasped so I sped up my pace back to the restroom. I was alone, perfect to deal with the issue. I exhaled in relief when i realized the blood didn't leak through my sleeves. After I was done taking care of myself I headed to my next class painting on a fake smile forgetting everything that accrued.
