[Harry]

The next day during breakfast, Harry kept glancing at Draco, but the Slytherin seemed to keep his attention on his meal. Harry thought back to the time he had caught Draco glancing at him. Now that Harry looked closely at the memory, it occurred to him that there was something special about the way Draco stared at him. But maybe Harry had been imagining all of that. Because now it was as if nothing had happened between them, as if that kiss was just a terrible joke.

Speaking about the kiss, Harry felt extremely stupid. What hadn't he kissed Draco back? Why did he just stood there and did nothing?

Suddenly, an owl dropped him a letter.
It was from Hermione.

Dear Harry,

How's eighth year going? Did you make any new friends? Tell me everything!!
I've been very busy studying to get into the ministry of magic, but I went to Diagon Alley to visit Ron and George. They both miss you, and the three of us will be at Weasley house for winter break. Ginny will also be there, and she will introduce us her new boyfriend. Harry, I hope you're okay after the breakup and everything. Remember that if you need someone to talk to, I'll always be here for you.

Can't wait to see you again!

Your friend,
Hermione

Harry was glad he finally got a letter from his friends. They seemed to loose contact after the summer, but with everything they've been through together, there was no doubt they were still extraordinarily close to each other.
Harry left the Great Hall and went back to his dorm to reply to Hermione. He was already picturing all the amazing things they would do during winter break.

"I hope you're okay after the breakup and everything. Remember that if you need someone to talk to, I'll always be here for you."

Saying that he was okay would be lying, but it wasn't the breakup with Ginny that affected Harry. It was some blond haired asshole, who had kissed him a day ago. And now Harry had feelings for that boy. Feelings that he had always kept well hidden until a few hours ago.

He couldn't tell Hermione any of this. He couldn't tell anyone.

He wanted the whole world to disappear, leaving the two of them.

It was okay if Draco hated him, if that kiss had really just been a joke. That, Harry wouldn't mind. Just the two of them, hating on each other, until the end of times.
That's what Harry wanted to believe.

But I'm reality, that was not okay. Harry wanted no hate, just the love he had felt the day before.

[Draco]

Draco's fork scratched against his empty plate. He had no appetite after what happened with Potter yesterday.
An owl flew past him, almost hitting the tip of his nose. Draco's gaze followed the animal, which headed straight towards the Gryffindor table. It lead his gaze to the exact same person he had swore he would never look at again for the rest of his life. Easier said than done.

The owl dropped a letter sealed with golden wax. Draco was unable to detach his eyes from Harry. He watched him as he opened the letter, read it, and smiled in an angelic way. Draco was sure this smile was going to hunt all his dreams for the rest of his days, but what worried him more was who sent that letter and why Harry was smiling like that.

Must be from that Weasley girl, Draco thought as he left to grab his textbook for Transfiguration.

[Harry]

"Mr. Potter! What is your excuse for arriving five minutes late and interrupting my lesson?" McGonagall said severely.

     "I'm sorry. Professer, I was..."

"Sending a letter to your girlfriend?" Draco murmured, thinking no one would hear him, but Harry did.

"No, professor, that isn't true." Harry argued.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Potter, but what exactly isn't true?"

    "What Malfoy just said."

"Mr. Malfoy, would you please repeat what you said?" McGonagall looked very confused.

"I said nothing, professer." Draco said innocently.

Now it was Harry's turn to be confused.

"You literally just accused me of sending a letter to my girlfriend!!"

"May I know how that concerns me?" Draco said coldly

"Well maybe because you— " but Harry cut himself off. Maybe because you kissed me, and that kiss seemed very real to me.

"Mr. Potter, would you please go to your seat, we have lost enough time already."
