Another day began as I rose from my bed. I picked up my things and made my way to prepare to go out. I wore black baggy trousers with a white tucked-in blouse, threw over a black suit over my shoulders, and finally wore on my black shoes.
As I locked the house, I took out my headphones and connected them to my phone as I proceeded to the nearest café for a light breakfast.
*creak* *bell jingles* "Hello! Welcome to Café Él Don~ is it the usual, ma'am/sir?" the cashier asked.
"Yes, hi. It's the usual." I replied as I looked at the menu in front. "Ah, would you mind adding one more frappé and one slice of raspberry cake for mine? Extra whipped cream, lessen the caffeine a bit and add caramel to the choco on the sides. Oh and pack all of these. Thanks." I added.
The cashier looked at me for a second and shook, "Of course. That would be a total of 350php."
I paid for my order before I went to a seat by the corner window with high seats on them and waited for my order.
After waiting for a short while, the waiter brought me my order.
"Here's your order. As per usual; a chocolate cake and a choco frappé. And then you added a raspberry cake with a frappe which has extra whipped cream, lesser caffeine, added caramel with the chocolates on the sides. Packed. Is that all?" The waiter made sure.
"Yes, thank you." I stood up from my seat and took my stuff.
"Well then, have a good day, and thank you too!" The waiter said, as he bid me a good day and thanked me.
Before I went to where I was headed, I stopped by my last station.
"Hello, welcome to Flora's Floristry! Do pick any flower you'd like to buy." The florist told me as she guided me to some flowers.
Stopping in our tracks, I told the florist I'd like to buy a bouquet of the Hydrangea.
"I'll prepare one real quick, please sit by the bench over there while you wait!" She hurriedly said as she ran towards the storage room to make the bouquet.
The moment the florist has entered the room, I looked around the shops' other flowers to pass the time.
"The flowery-scented perfume which is being sprayed constantly has been mixed with the plants' natural aroma is very savorous to one's nose once smelled when this place is entered.." I muttered.
"Indeed, many people say that but the way you said it was very unique or whatever word fits the statement." The lady smiled sweetly as she handed me the bouquet.
As startled as I got, I calmed down at once and felt shy as she heard what I said.
"Thank you for buying! Do be back again and have a blessed day, customer~" She said.
I smiled as she waved me goodbye.
As I got out of the shop, I then headed for the station and took a ride toward my destination.
I scrolled on my phone and noticed that it was already past 3 pm and that the place closes by 4:30 pm.
Fifteen minutes later, I finally arrived at my destination at exactly 3:39 pm.
An endless-looking yard awaits me as I entered the gates.
'I finally reached it.'
" Grandma " : "19XX - 20XX"
I laid all of the stuff I brought with me, especially the flowers.
"Hi, my lovely grandma!"I said.
"It's been four years. I'm now eighteen. How have you been? I hope you're doing really really well." I softly said.
I talked to my grandma some more and saw that the time was 4:24 pm. I then took out the raspberry cake and the frappé with caramel on it and placed them by the tombstone.
"I know you said that caffeine is not good for me, but it has chocolate mixed with it. So don't be angry at me, okay?" I chuckled.
"Oh! Before I forget, the candle!" I rummaged for a candle in my bag.
"Brought this from home. I also brought you a flower-scented candle which you really love."
Now, grandma, before we blow out the candle,"
"Make a Wish"
As I was about to blow them off, a sudden light gush of wind blew them out, and a light breeze embraced me warmly.
-
It is now exactly 4 pm. "Happy Birthday again."
"Don't forget to make a wish, I love you lots too." -g.
To give you guys a short detail~:
This story is about a reader(he/she/they) that had their grandma with them. The grandma was the one who took the role of the parents. Why you may ask? The parents didn't actually want the child and had abandoned them to the grandma by that time it was four. And when the child had turned 14 that year, the grandma died. But she sure did leave a message to the loving grandchild which was said above:>
