Minas POV
Hallway
I heard the sound of footsteps. I turned around seeing it was just Tzuyu with her suitcase.
"Where are you going?".
"I thought you'd be busy with your acting", she said avoiding my question.
"Where are you leaving?".
"I moving with dahyun eonni".
"...Thats where you been staying these past days? Away from me?", I said.
Why? I should be the one running away and hiding from her but I'm not.
"Well yes. I shall live there from now on".
"You will?".
"Yes", she said.
"You will not. You'll stay here with me".
"I cannot stay here".
"Why not?", I asked.
"You see me as the monster I am. The way everyone sees me. I told you I am not tzuyu I am a monster. That is what I am".
I walked towards her but she backed away.
"I shall not be anywhere near you unless necessary for the media".
"Fine walk out then. I don't care it will be great to have my house back to normal", I said.
I turned around. Part of me hoped she would stay. But no I heard the door shut. I sighed, looking down at my hands, trembling from the sudden emptiness. Why do I even care? She's done horrible things to a girl. And she's already physically hurt me. And she wasn't even supposed to matter to me. This was all supposed to be an act for the public. A lie. But here I was, standing in the middle of my living room, feeling like I was the one abandoned. I sank onto the couch, my chest tight with frustration and confusion.
Living Room
It's not like she made things easy. Her temper, the sudden mood changes. It's all too much. The physical and verbal abuse as well. She pushed me away, isolated herself, and told me she was a monster. And yet... I still cared. Despite everything, I didn't want her to leave. I had just settled into a routine with her annoying ass.
Tzuyus POV
Dahyuns House / Living Room
I sat on the couch, staring at my hands.
"Here you go".
Dahyun's voice broke through my thoughts as she handed me a cup of tea. I forced a small smile and took it, grateful for her kindness.
"Thanks, Dahyun", I muttered.
"For letting me stay here...".
She waved it off, plopping down next to me.
"You don't have to thank me. I've got plenty of space, and besides, you're my friend. You're always welcome here".
I nodded, but the warmth of her words barely reached me. I was too caught up in everything that had happened before I left. The way Mina looked at me... the way she told me to go.
"Mina saw me leave. She seemed... really happy about it, you know? Told me it'd be great to have the house back to normal".
Dahyun frowned, studying me carefully.
"Are you sure about that? Don't you think you might've misinterpreted her words?", she asked.
I blinked, confused.
"What do you mean?".
She leaned forward slightly, her eyes soft with concern.
"Sometimes, harsh words aren't always what they seem. Maybe she didn't really want you to leave. Maybe she wanted you to stay".
I let out a dry laugh, shaking my head.
"No, don't be silly, Dahyun. Why would she want me to stay? I'm just a burden to her. A monster. I told her that", I said.
"Tzuyu..."
"I hurt her, Dahyun. I hurt her, and I don't even remember how. I don't know what I did, but I know it was bad. And she can't stand being around me because of it. How could she possibly want me to stay? I am a monster".
"You're not a monster", she said.
I shook my head, biting my lip.
"You didn't see the way she looked at me. It was like she couldn't wait for me to go. After all, I am a convicted domestic abuser and rapist".
"Tzuyu".
"What it's true. She gonna have to marry me. Father's an idiot. She shouldn't be associated with me", I said.
"Tzuyu".
"I am gonna go sleep. Goodnight Dahyun".
"Night", she said.
