Just Tonight

Chapter 2

Hours later when the three of them had managed to clean up the mess their barbaric classmates had made in their drunken state did Lexi find herself in Jules room feeling very unsure of herself. She stood by the doorway tugging at her sleeve, a nervous habit she had since she was a kid.

Rue was lazily taking off her clothes, throwing them in the corner where her bag lay until she was in nothing but her briefs and training bra, her hair pulled back in a messy bun.

Jules was in a big, baggy tshirt with some rock band from the 80s printed on it. Her hair was down but clipped back from her face.

Lexi herself was in a pair of booty shorts that Jules lent her and a white, see-through tank top. It was completely out of Lexi's comfort zone but since Lexi hadn't bought clothes of her own she had no choice.

Looking at them so in sync with eachother, Lexi felt like she was intruding.

"Uh, I'll go make my bed on the couch. Is there a blanket I could borrow?"

Rue and Jules gave eachother an exasperated look and rolled their eyes in her direction. Having some unspoken conversation.

"Silly Lexi, come here." Rue patted the space in between them.

Lexi felt her stomach erupt in butterflies and her breathing pick up.

"Come, I'm cold and need warmth." Jules playfully whined with a smile while patting the spot Rue had indicated for Lexi to lay.

Lexi hesitantly did a slow walk to the bed giving them ample time to change their minds and send her on her way to the couch. Where she most likely belonged.

She got on her hands and knees and moved up the bed till she was in the middle. She sat stiffly and tried to not let her skin touch either of the women next to her.

Lexi felt arms pull her down gently until she was leaning against someone's chest. She knew it was Jules from the sweet scent that encased her.

Lexi hadn't realized she'd closed her eyes again in fear that this was a dream or a cruel prank. She wasn't sure which scenario was worse.

"Relax Lex. Do you want to talk about earlier?" Rue asked her gently while her hand reached towards Lexi's face and stroked along her jaw seeing that Lexi had clenched her teeth in panic.

"I know it was just part of the moment. It was nothing. I get it. A joke between girls." Lexi said trying her best not to let her voice crack as she battled to speak past the lump that was suddenly in her throat.

Lips found her neck and Lexi felt teeth clamp down gently on the bite mark left their from earlier. Jules bite mark. Lexi felt her back arch as her mouth opened in a soft whimper.

Lips were suddenly by her ear elicting a shiver from her.

"Does this feel like a joke to you?" Jules whispered huskily.

Lexi couldn't find her voice to speak so she shook her head.

"I just don't understand." Lexi said meekly.

Before either girl could respond Lexi carried on.

"I refuse to get in between you both and destroy what you have. I know it might be just a fluke to you both but it's not to me. It's not a game. You are both my best friends. I won't ruin our friendship. I won't, I won't!" Lexi's voice had raised in pitch and by the end of her speel she was close to hysterics. Her breathing became erratic and her palms became sweaty. Her vision  went blurry.
