It has a lateral line which allows it to feel movement through the water. The great white in particular can heat its body up almost like it is warm blooded but not quite as well. Using its Ampullae of Lorenzini on its face it can detect the electric current given of by muscle movement to easily detect prey. Its colouring is thought to be used to make it look: like the ground from above(dark blue)and the top of the lit up surface of the water from below (white). The white overlapping the blue on the picture is from the sun on the shark's back.
