Chapter 13

Asias POV

After leaving the lobby we hopped in my blazer and I played us some calm music.
She really everything I could've asked for.

"Where we going?" She asked me while vibing to the music.

"It's a surprise bae" I laughed.

"All these surprises when it's your birthday" she rolled her eyes.

"I got somewhere to take you tonight by the way so we can't take too long okay" she put her hand on my thigh.

"We won't" I put my hand over hers.

We finally got to our destination after about 30 mins.

It was 1pm and we were at this lake that I used to go to all the time when I was a child.

"This is so beautiful oh my god" she looked around at the trees and out towards the water.

Her gaze was so sexy.

"I used to come here a lot everytime I felt like I was in a dark place, it always makes me feel better" I said to her while laying down a blanket for us. I directed her to sit next to me so she did.

She put her head on my shoulder and let out a sigh.

"I have something I need to tell you" she told me.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"It's about the other night, the dream I had" she gathered her thoughts.

I nodded holding her hand, allowing her to continue.

"I had a dream about Chris, she kidnapped me and raped me and it felt so real" she told me.

I don't know who could ever hurt this girl that brutally.

"Has anything like that happened to you in real life?" I asked wanting her to open up to me.

She took her head off my shoulder and looked out into the lake.

"Yes" she said hesitantly.

"I love you Asia and I want to be open with you about everything, you've earned my trust" she said and I nodded waiting for her to continue.

"My parents died when I was 16 from a car crash, I met Chris a month before they died and she didn't show any signs of abuse until a couple months after. They left me everything which is how im able to afford everything I have. They gave me the Jeep on my 15th birthday. Anyways, Chris slowly started getting more controlling, she didn't let me go out with my friends as much and it slowly got worse and worse. One day I got too drunk with my bestfriend so I came home really late, that was the first time she layed hands on me. I couldn't walk for 2 days after that. I started missing a lot of school because I didn't want people to see me like that. My bestfriend eventually got distant because I was. I couldn't blame her. This went on for a year and a half. She raped me multiple times and abused me almost everyday. She broke up with me when I was 17 and a half so I started getting my shit together again, going to school and then I met you. I'm the happiest I've been since my parents died and I just wanna thank you for everything Asia" she said through tears.

I felt so terrible that she had to go through this for so long.

"I'm so sorry my love, you didn't deserve any of it and im gonna always be here for you, I will never let anyone hurt you again, you are everything to me and I love you forever" I kissed her gently and held her in my arms for a while. Time stops every time I'm with her.

"I have an idea" I told her.

"What?" She wiped her tears trying to smile.

"Let's move " I said to her. Her face instantly lit up.

"Where?" she smiled.

"Florida?" I asked.

"I've always wanted to go to New Orleans" she told me.

"Fuck it lets do it then. There's nothing here for us anyways." She just kissed me.

Day's POV.

I was so happy. I'm ready for a new life.

I checked the time. Shitttt it's already 4.

"Babe we need to gooo our reservations at 7" I told her hating that I was ruining the moment.

She nodded getting the blanket and walking back to the car.

The car ride consisted of us singing jhené aiko, Eric, and Bryson the whole way.
