My Bet J.JK

Chapter 1

   I sprinted out of school with my friends trailing close behind me. The dark cloudy skies this morning gave hint that it would rain later that day. Yet, I still decided not to bring an umbrella.

The rain poured heavily on my H/c hair and soaked my hair. I could hear my friends' laughter and giggles as they chased after me. I could also hear their calls for me. Calling my name over and over, and telling me to slow down, yet I didn't.

I outstretched my arms while I continued to run; my laughter was too loud which didn't match well with my friends' laughter. I closed my eyes. For once, I felt free. Free from this cruel, cruel world.

My contentment soon came to an end as I slammed into a wall. Expect this wall was breathing. I found myself laying on the cold concrete.

I looked up with a glare on my face as I made eye contact with a male with brownish-blackish eyes. Even from down below, I could tell he was in shape. His muscles and abs were seen through his white t-shirt; his collarbone was also present.

He stood there, looking down at me, with a smile on his face. He looked kinda like a bunny while he smiled. His eyes squinted ever so slightly while he held his bright yellow umbrella.

He then reached out his hand, which was an attempt to help me stand back up. I took it and he guided me back up. His hand felt warm against my own.

The clear and cold droplets stopped pouring on my head as the bright yellow umbrella covered me. "Here." His deep voice spoke out. "You can keep it. You're already soaked to the bone. Plus my house is right down the street."

My E/c eyes trailed to the handle of the umbrella and then brought back up to his dark brown eyes. I tilted my head in question if he was serious. He nodded, his bunny-like smile stretching out along his features.

I obtained the umbrella and held tightly to it. "Thank you." I then walked around him in the direction of my home. I heard him chuckle behind me.

"My name's Jeon Jungkook." He spoke, loud enough for me to still hear as I walked away. I didn't glance back at him. I kept walking.

"That's a cool name." I said as my friends joined me in my walk home.
