I have composed myself. I think it's time I tell you a little backstory. Remember how I mentioned I know this so-called stranger. Well, that's because he's my first love. I know! Exciting. I'm finally ready to confess myself to him, hand myself over, and, well, what better time than this ski trip. I know, I know. It sounds a little too good to be true. Unfortunately, desafortunadamente as they say in Rome stays in Rome, it was. Too good to be true. And I knew it from the start. But that didn't stop me, I'm not some kind of stopper, I don't give up that easily. So after 10 years, I'm still following my dreams. Quite literally.
I went back to his cabin and knocked a couple of times. When no one answered, I gave up and left. Hey, my time is precious. I actually stumbled into him this time, accidentally, but I was feeling a little shy to approach him, uwu, so I just observed. And there's nothing wrong with that, just taking in the view to be quite frank. I took a couple of pictures, you know, just for recon. Added it to my folder of him, just being organized, nothing to get excited about, just the usual.
After about, say, 5 or 6 hours of observing, I decided it was time to call it a day, mostly because it was like 8 o'clock (pm; eastern standard time). I decided I was going to talk to him again. Maybe he'll finally reciprocate those indescribable feelings that I have for him. So, I decided to swing by, say a little greeting, bring by a cabin warming gift, do a little good, Samaritan things, you know. "Yallow" he said with his voice, sweet like apple cider vinegar.
"Hey!!!!!! It's Trudy, from earlier! I was just stopping by, well no, not stopping. Swinging by, you know it's actually not much of a swing more like a drop. Dropping in, just checking up, like an examination. What's 2*379, hahah I'm just joshing with you! Anyway, I brought a little something, just to say welcome to the vicinity! I actually noticed you didn't have any shrubbery so I'll just swing by tomorrow and drop it off! I'm breezy."
"Okay. I have a dog."
"Oh my gosh! I just loved Cujo! One of my all time favorites, you know I actually have a dog too, her names Paupia, hairy little fella that one. She often thinks of a better life. And I know it's probably because I'm adopted. But it's okay. I just was thinking about that one time where-"
"Dinner time! Bye nerd"
And just like that, he left. I really feel like we have something now. He's probably feeling the vibe, that undismissible tension between us, like a mother and son. So strong that it could only be broken by impenetrable forces. It did however go away when he had to go eat dinner but I felt a little something lingering in the air. The ski resort has a library, I figured I'll catch him there tomorrow.
Ah, what a day.
