Aether was getting ready for the coronation, he let his hair down, with a side braid.

He wore a black suit with a red ombre from the bottom, the suit had yellow designs on the sides of the suit. The sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, There was some fur on his shoulders leading to a black cape that reached to his knees, the cape was filled with red roses. He was wearing red thigh high boots that had black roses on the top. The pants were ordinary black pants just with golden accents around it. And lastly he had short black gloves that had lacing on the end.

He looked at himself once again through the mirror, How did I end up like this?... he thought to himself, but decided to brush off the thought as he lowered his wings, walking away from his room. He cannot change what has already happened.

He ended up in front of a ballroom door he didn't know existed even though he already has been living at Celestia for thousands of years.

He inaudibly gulped, deep down in his head, he knew that he didn't want this, he wanted to be back with his sister, he didn't want to be a prince, he is a traveler, not this.

But..

How else could he be able to survive?

The white doors opened in front of him, a bright light came into his view, before his eyes quickly adapted and saw multiple servants, and maids, standing up. The aisle was completely empty, it was made for him to walk down. But there was like something in his head to run away, in fear? No, it was not fear. It was a force that made Aether's body tremble in nervousness. But Aether couldn't run away now, he was too far gone to come back.

He took a first step, then his body kept moving towards the podium where Asmodas stood. Asmodas was wearing a large red dress with black ombre's, gold accents lining her dress. There was also a black slightly transparent train behind her dress, filled with red roses.

Asmodas was looking at the boy, who kept his head down low, and his wings low. She easily can tell a person's emotion, because of something that happened to her in the past.

She inaudibly sighed, she knew that the boy wasn't ready for the-

"Mother." Aether called out to her.

Asmodas looked at Aether then motioned him to bow his head. She proceeded to speak Oaths, which Aether will have to comply with.

All the oaths that Asmodas kept saying to him, echoed through the room, and Aether's mind. He couldn't help but think about what will happen to him if he doesn't comply with the oaths, the reason he came here was to survive. Not be bound by oaths that he could be killed by if he doesn't obey. Fate really loves playing games with other's.

"Will you honor this family's legacy for many years to come?"

"Yes" His voice seemed shaky.

"Will you always protect others under your command?"

Aether shook at the words, his eyes wandered to his mother. Looking at him with a calculated gaze. He then looked away after mere seconds looking at her.

"Yes."

Asmodas materialized her sword in front of him, held it out to him. Though the look on her face wasn't a face of happiness, proudness, nor disappointment, anger. No, her face was a look of pity.

Did she think that he wasn't ready? Was he even ready?

Even with so many questions in his mind, he unconsciously took the sword in his hand. The sword became a beautiful black wand, with red roses almost on every inch of the sword, even some white ribbons circled around the wand, connecting each rose together.
