Middle School Love

Chapter One: Back To School

Dr Schoeners POV:

It's my first real day working at the new middle school, Hofius Intermediate. I'm at home, eating breakfast with my husband, Joey. I'm so excited to really meet the other staff members! Well, i've already met most of them ( at least the ones i'll be around the most,) but I didn't get a chance to officially MEET meet them. Oh, speaking of introductions, my husband Joey! We've been together for 15 years; 20, if you include our years of dating. He's got the sweetest blond hair and blue eyes. i love him so much. anyways, i gave him a kiss and headed out the door. my new job awaits!

I've gotten to the school. it's about 5:35 AM. We're making sure everything is in order for the first day back to school. Im rearranging a few things in the library with Mrs Nalley, when suddenly, i see him. He has short, spiked blond hair that's only visible on the top of his head. he's slightly red all over, like he has a minor sunburn all over his body. He's tall and a bit muscular. I couldn't help but blush when i saw him. Once i layed my eyes on him, i couldn't pull them back into focus. "Herbert?" Ms Nalley called for me, confused. I snapped out of my trance, hoping she didn't notice my visible attraction to the man. "Yeah-? Oh, sorry. Just thought i saw something. Anyways.." I said,
mumbling by the end of it. Until about 8:00 AM, i helped her organize the library. In about 30 minutes, kids would start piling into the school for the first time.
To be honest, I was a bit nervous. What if i screwed something up? I mean, middle school kids are kind of a lot sometimes. But that didn't matter- I needed to get through it. Just.. No distractions. I then thought about him again. That spiky gel-covered hair.. That tall, muscular build... NO. No distractions. I was gonna get through the day easily. At least, that's what I thought.
