It wasn't often Jinah was left to fend for herself. Not that there was much to fend from but being alone in the hallways of her school wasn't a common occurrence. Jinah had grown accustomed to always having Jonah by her side, no matter the circumstances. So really, it was a pity she wasn't put on cleanup duty with her twin whom she stuck to like gum.She had moaned and groaned for a minute to get Ms. Park to change her mind but she had just ended up with a minor scolding. She ushered the young girl off, who pouted the entire way with her friends.
"Jun-Jae!" She yells as the boy once more sweeps over her new white shoes, "quit it!" The boy rushes off with a laugh as Jinah chases after him, curses falling from her mouth.
"Hey, hey, hey," Joon-young's voice cuts the pair off, his stare harsh. "Quit it. I want to head home already."
Jinah scoffs, "tell him to stop being a child. Won't stop ruining my shoes." It's almost ridiculous how hypocritical she's being, whining about the silly antics of your classmate, but Joon-young was just one of the many who folded to her sweet voice.
"Hey, Jun-Jae." Joon-young turns to the boy whom he shared class with, "stop messing around."
"Why can't she take a fucking joke?" Jun-Jae laughs at the girl who sent him a threat by raising her fist up.
"That's not a joke! A joke is you making fun of my shoes, not damaging them, douchebag." Jinah scoffs, and while she was only a bit irked at her classmates antics, she hadn't been all too hurt. It's why she took the chance to attack him right back when he was in clear view. Grabbing her broom, she swats at the boy, the dirty end of her broom swiping against his green vest.
"You're so getting it!" Jun-Jae yells as she runs behind the second in your grade.
"Joon-young!" Jinah's laughter fills the room, the other students watching you two be silly. "Protect me! You can't let him get me!" Hyeon-ju was still laid atop of the chair, shushing the pair but they pay no attention.
"Let's hurry up here!" Joon-young yells out, wiping down his final table.
"Jun-Jae." Jinah teasingly holds the end of the broom, the stick pointing out at the boy as if she were ready to spar, finally getting the upper-hand. "You knew it was a bad decision to face me. So tell me child, why would you dare trifle me?"
"Take pity upon the poor peasant, please!" He pleads right back, Jinah face cracking into a smile as giggles come from her mouth. "I assure you I won't try anything against your highness again!"
Jinah pauses and pretends to dwell over it, rubbing at her chin. "How about... fuck no?" Jun-Jae let's out a loud screeching noise as he runs out of the classroom. Shoving both the brooms into the utility room, they pay no mind to Joon-young telling the pair to stop running.
The sound of their squeaking shoes is all that's heard, that and the way Jinah yelled out to her closest friend. Surely they weren't best of friends and they often got into arguments, what with both of them lacking a filter, but it worked well enough for them. In the end, no one could ever amount to her true best friend and everyone had given up trying.
"Save me!" Jun-Jae yells as he falls into Jinah's brothers arms, Jonah. The boy had been talking and laughing with Su-hyeok and Cheong-san, but their conversation went ignored as they caught sight of the twin girl.
