It was a regular cool summers day. The leaves were changing color, so that means that fall I just around the corner to arrive.

I sit down and read one of my mothers good books. The title in the front faded, but it was good. It was my mothers grandmothers book. An it was a good one indeed.

"FIRE!!" I heard in the far distance. *bang* *bang* *bang* I heard. I jumped up. It scared me. So I ran inside. I leaned against the front door, and breathed heavily. I held my heart. I finally caught up with my breathing.

"Did the fire scare you?" My mother said , peaking her head out from the kitchen. "Yes mother. It did" I swallowed some air and straightened up. I walked to where my mother was and sat in the little table area. Just right by the window. I looked outside the window and see the soldiers in their position. Then there is my father. Checking every one of them. "Goo job men!" I hear him yell outside the battlefield.

"Shelby. It's time for you to go to the 'First - Aid' center." My mother said, while she was still making dinner. "Yes mother." I said. I kissed my mother on the cheek, and left the kitchen. "FIRE!!" *bang* I jumped. Gosh how I hated that.

I walked to the front door, and grabbed my coat and bonnet and headed out the door. I closed the white door behind me. And began my journey to the 'First - Aid' Center.

I was in deep thought of what the war was going to happen. Then I run into this guy. I fall flat on the floor.

"Oh my goodness ma'am. I'm so sorry. Here. Let me help you up." The man said. I held my bonnet. I looked up at him. He had blue eyes, strong, a very strong jawline, a pretty smile, and he looked very muscular. Oh and he had jet black hair.

He held out his hand. I took it, and he helped me up. I brushed off all of the dirt off of my dress. After I dusted off all of the dirt off my dress. I looked at him. He was staring at me. "I'm sorry I ran into you." I said. "Oh no ma'am. I'm the one who should say sorry. I'm the one who ran into you." He said. I giggled, and he smiled.

"Well. I better be going." I said. "Oh where to? If I should ask." He said in a really 'I want to see you again' voice. "Oh I'm working as a nurse in the 'First - Aid' Center." I said. He smiled a. Little wider I smile too. Just a little.

"Well miss. I hope to see you again." He said. "I hope to see you again too." I said. And with that. We both smiled and walked on. But as I was smiling at the ground. I felt like someone was watching me. I turned and looked at the man I just met. He was looking at me. I turned my head back around. He looked at me. He really looked at me.
