The annoying sound of my alarm clock woke me from my slumber and I groan when I realize I have my first day of senior year in high school today. As I'm getting changed I see my most prized possession sitting on the desk I did my homework at, it's the dream book I wrote in ever since I was 8. My father gave it to me before he died and told me to "never give up on my dreams" and to "keep dreaming." My name is Sarah and I'm known as the 18 year old day dreamer in school. As I flip through it I decide that I will read through it throughout the day. My mom left a note on the counter saying that she is at work and she will be home later along with my stepdad Mike, at first I didn't like him only because I didn't want someone in my fathers place but later on I got used to him, even though he is annoying at times. Then there is my mom, she works hours a day to keep a roof over our heads, Mike would help if he could even get a job but he is a clumsy person and nobody will accept him. I would get a job but I don't even know what I want to be yet. A lot of people say I should go get an art career because I'm good at drawing but I might just wait and see what colleges have to offer. I walk out the door and start my short journey to school. When I got to first block which is English, Our class is told by Ms.Bennett that there is a new student who came here from England. He introduced himself as Harry and he was told to sit in the seat across from me, hey maybe I can make a new friend? I shake my head and open my dream book to a page marked "Success in London" and take a look at it. As I'm reading the memories of writing this flood back to my mind, I wrote this when I was 10, before my dad died he always read my dream book because he loved my drawings and my writing, he told me that he knows I will be successful no matter where I am in this world. When he said that it gave me the idea to look at places and one of those places was London, I have always loved the beauty of London so I chose to dream of my success being there. The only thing is..I don't know what my
success is. As I kept on reading through the pages of my dream book I can't help but think of London and what is yet to come.
