Chapter 8- Let Go Of Him

[Time skip : Kim Corporations; Cafeteria]

"Jungkook, let's meet today once my work is done, hmm?" Jungkook replied enthusiastically with a 'yes' from the other side making me giggle. Taking the last bite of my sandwich, I was about to leave the cafeteria when the receptionist came to me making me confused

"Ms. Y/n" 

"Yes? What's the matter?" I asked wiping my mouth with a tissue 

"There's someone here wanting to meet the CEO but she doesn't have an appointment and since it's lunch time, I did not want to disturb him by calling him" she explained the situation

"Who is it? Perhaps, maybe she is a business partner we don't know about?" 

"No" She replied

"Then who is it? Did she tell you anything?" I asked making her nod her head

"She said her name is Jeong Ji-woo and..." she hesitated making me slightly confused

"And what....?"

"And she says that she's his girlfriend" For a moment I thought time stopped. I refused to believe what I just heard. Clutching on the tissue paper tightly, I just stood there dumbfounded. I didn't even want to cry. 

"Girl-friend?" I asked again confirming whether I misheard it or not 

"Yes, I think you should talk to her once" She said walking towards the reception. I did not want to follow her but my legs made me do so. 

"There she is" She said pointing at a girl sitting on the sofa in the waiting area. Walking up to her, I stood behind her

"Excuse me, Ms. Jeong... Ji-woo?" I said making her turn around. Flashing me a smile, she stood up. 

"Yes, and you are....?"

"I'm CEO Kim's personal secretary, Park Y/n" I replied

"Ah! Can I call you....Ms. Y/n then?" She asked cheerfully 

"As you-u wish ma'am. But may I know why are-e you here?" I asked

"Ah, I returned from France last night and I wanted to give him a surprise but they won't let me in because I don't have an appointment. They want me to take an appointment just to meet my boyfriend" she replied pouting 

"Ah then follow me, I'll lead to his cabin-n" I said and started walking while she followed. She is prettier than me, is richer than me, she even cares for him. I don't see any reason for both of them not to date each other

Stopping before the cabin, I knocked on the door and entered once we heard a faint 'come in' 

"Oh, Y/n-.... Ji-woo?" He said quiet shocked from what was happening. He knows her that means she isn't lying

"Taehyung!" Ji-woo screeched in happiness engulfing him in a hug 

"When did you come back from France and why didn't you call me?" They indeed are dating

"My flight landed last night and I wanted to surprise you!" 

"But you could've-e still called me-e" He said looking at me. The moment our eyes met, my heart became heave as I swallowed the lump in my throat. His eyes were filled with guilt

"Where should we go for dinner today? Our favorite restaurant? Or bake a cake like we used to do?" she asked sounding happy 

"I'll-l take-ke my leave-e then" I spoke bowing and turning around

"y/n-" before he could say anything, I left his cabin. I kept walking until I was in front of the washroom. Entering in one of the stalls, I starred blankly at the floor. A drop of tear fell on the floor which I wanted to wipe away but I couldn't. I pressed my lips together not wanting to cry when I heard someone from outside

"You know, CEO Kim has a girlfriend! And she came to visit him today! I also heard she is a famous fashion designer from France!" 

"I heard that too and you know, someone saw that Y/n and CEO Kim going together at his place. Apparently, they've been sleeping with each other"

"I can't believe Y/n right now! She truly is a slut! First Jun-woo and then CEO Kim!" 

"But what if CEO Kim's girlfriend finds out about her?"

"She won't give a fuck about her. Y/n is nothing compared to her. After all, she was nothing but a fuck toy for him. Once he's bored, he'll throw her like trash"

A fuck toy? Maybe that was the only thing I was for him

[Time skip: Restaurant]

"Y/n, you look so down. Everything okay?" Jungkook asked drawing my attention

"Huh?" 

"You look so down as if your boyfriend left you" he said jokingly sipping his drinks 

"that is at least better than what happened" I mumbled which he couldn't hear. Checking my phone, I sighed

CEO Kim:

14 missed calls, 36 new messages

Why is he so bothered? It's not like I meant something to him. He should be with his girlfriend not try to console me with his lies 

"Y/n" Jungkook called out snapping me out of my thoughts 

"Yes?"

"Y/n, I don't know if this is the right thing or not but... can we get back together? While I was away from you... it made me realize that.... I never stopped liking you" Jungkook confessed making me shocked. I didn't expect him to say this

"Jungkook... I-" I was about to speak when a voice interrupted me

"And what makes you think she'll get back with you?" It was none other than him, Taehyung

"CEO Kim. What are you doing here?" I asked standing up from my chair when I heard Jungkook chuckle 

"And why do you think she wouldn't? I've known her better than you" 

"You really think she is the same as she was with you in the high-school? She is really hard to please but I know exactly how to do it"

"CEO Kim, we need to talk" I said dragging him outside with me. Reaching the back of the restaurant, I let go of his hand

"Who do you think you are? Who are you to interfere in my life!" Slapping him, his eyes met my teary ones. I was angry about what he did

"And what about you? I called you so many time, texted you so many times! You did not let me explain-" I cut him off by saying

"Explain? Are you going to sugarcoat me with you lies? You used me and cheated on your girlfriend!" I yelled at him

"I NEVER USED YOU! DON'T MISUNDERSTAND ME Y/N!" He yelled back

"I never thought I'd be saying this but... I regret it. I regret meeting you, I regret signing that contract with you. I regret everything that happened!"
