"Arrietty!!" A voice shouted.

"Stay away from her," another voice called over to them.

Arrietty, Spiller, and Shō looked over to the doorway, Pod and Homily were standing on the floor below them.

"Mama, Papa, you're here!!" Arrietty called back down to them, she was surprised to see them and a little worried.

Pod and Homily walked over to the counter, Spiller lowered a rope to them, they started climbing up it to the top.

Homily ran over to her and hugged her tightly, "are you okay!! I was worried sick about you!!!"

"It's okay I'm fine," Arrietty replied.

"Come on Arrietty, Spiller, we're going home," Pod said.

Arrietty looked up at Shō, he looked so sad, "I'm sorry but I'm not going back there... this is my home."

"You can't stay here, the Beans can't be trusted," Pod replied.

"This is my choice, I'm a woman now and I have to be the one who decides where I live," Arrietty said.

"You cannot trust them they will kill you Arrietty," Pod replied.

"Shō would never do that, he's my friend," Arrietty said as she walked over to him.

Shō didn't know what to do, he didn't want Arrietty to leave but he didn't want her arguing with her father either, his parents used to fight a lot when he was younger and it always hurt him when they did.

"Arrietty he's a Bean, Borrowers can't be friends with Beans," Pod replied.

"That's not true," Arrietty replied.

Suddenly Shō felt a sharp pain in his chest, he started gasping for air, he felt so light-headed, he gripped his chest as he sunk to the floor.

"Shō what's wrong?" Arrietty shouted as she ran over to the edge of the countertop, she slide down the rope and ran over to him.

"Arrietty don't go near him," Pod shouted down to her but Arrietty just ignored him.

"What's wrong?" Arrietty asked again when she was close to him.

"My... pills..." Shō chocked out, as he pointed to the small orange bottle on the countertop.

Spiller walked over to it and tied it to the rope before he pushed it over the edge, Arrietty ran over to it and untied the rope, she rolled it across the floor and over to where Shō was laying.

Shō opened the lid and poured out one of the small white pills, he popped it into his mouth before he swallowed it, he sighed in pain, he knew it would take a little while before he felt better, "thank you," he whispered.

"You're welcome... what are these for anyway?" Arrietty asked.

"I had to start taking them after I had surgery on my heart and if I don't take these then my heart won't work properly," Shō replied.

"Oh, you should keep those with you," Arrietty replied before she sat down on his knee.

"Yeah, you're right," Shō replied before he slipped them into his jean pocket.

"Come on Arrietty it's time for us to go back home," Pod said.

"No, I can't just leave him like this," Arrietty replied.

"Pod maybe we should stay here, it's already dark and the forest is an even more dangerous place for a Borrower," Spiller said.

Pod looked out to the window, the sky was dark just like Spiller had said, he knew it was the safest thing to do even if he didn't like it.

"You're right, we'll stay here for the night but in the morning we're leaving," Pod replied.

Pod stared down at Shō questioning for a moment before he and Homily walked into the dollhouse, Spiller took one last look at Arrietty before he walked into the dollhouse as well.

"It's getting late you should go to bed," Shō said.

"What about you? You're not going to sleep down her are you?" Arrietty asked sadly.

Shō thought about the bed in his room, it was all the at the top of the stairs and down the hallway, Shō mentally groaned at the thought of getting up and walking up the steeps, "it's not that uncomfortable."

"Shō, at least go to the couch," Arrietty said.

Shō looked over to the couch, it was in the next room over but to him it looked like a mile away, Shō groaned before he looked down at Arrietty hoping she would just let him stay on the floor, but he was met with a expectant look.

Shō sighed before he slowly got up Arrietty climbed up to his shoulder and sat down.

Shō walked over to the couch and laid back, he sighed as he sunk into the soft cushion.

There was a dark blue blanket hanging on the back, Arrietty climbed onto the top of the couch and tried to pull it over Shō but it was to hard for her, Shō lunged quietly before he held her pulled it over himself.

"Thank you," Shō whispered.

"You're welcome," Arrietty replied before she slid down and walked up onto his chest.

"I still can't believe after all this time I get to see you again," Shō said.

"Me too, I missed you so much," Arrietty replied.

"Are you really leaving tomorrow?" Shō asked sadly.

"I don't want to, I'm old enough to be out on my own anyway, besides it's not dangerous for me to live here, you're my friend and you wouldn't hurt me, would you?" Arrietty replied.

"No of corse not," Shō said.

Arrietty smiled, "I should probably go before they wonder where I am."

"Goodnight Arrietty," Shō said.

"Goodnight Shō," Arrietty replied before she kissed the tip of his nose, Arrietty slid down the blanket until she reached the floor, she walked into the kitchen and out of sight from Shō, he sighed happily before he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
