Anita POV

We had driven up to a semi large house. There was a HUGE juniper tree not too far from the house and it was a pleasant off white color. It's yard was fenced in and had sort of green grass.

I looked back thinking that Jack would be Driving up at any moment when June Looked back and smiled.

"Jack won't be back for some time, he most likely when to his 'scifi club."

Giving June a nod I fallowed her into the domicile. The only thing I could really say about the living room was that it was green. VERY green...

Looking at my hostess with a raised eyebrow in comment she laughed. "I Used to live in Tranquility Nevada over on the California border. It was much green there and I missed the trees."

I gave a laugh as well. Growing up in northern Cal mountains made me missed trees too being in a dessert. But it's not like I'm un used to it. "I know what you mean. I missed the smell of the forest after a rainstorm."

Next we when to the kitchen. Old fashioned with a long bar-like island. Slate grey with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. with a semi large kitchen table on one side of the kitchen in a dark stained wood with matching chairs, at least ten of them.

'June must have wanted a large family.' I though sadly. I then wondered how she was able to afford the house and everything let alone the water bill. That would be a nightmare.

"Not to be rude but, how can you afford all this?" I looked at June an added. "Seeing as you live on a Nurse's pay wage, I-I didn't want to impose too much."

June merely waved off my comment. "Its fine. See my husband had started a business before we married and it made a small fortune in the 'sun roof retractable onings'. When he passed away, he signed everything over to me. I use what we get from that to pay for the car, utilities, mortgage and holidays." She smiled reminiscently as she added. "Seeing how it was only me and Jack, it grew larger over the years and so I believe it would be fine if I used some of it on you."

I was taken back at that statement. She was willing to be so kind to me... I had no idea how to even reply to that. I had been staring at the lush carpet when I felt her hand on my shoulder.

Startled I snapped by head up and my eyes bet dark chocolate. They were eyes of understanding, sympathy and kindness. Something I had long forgotten. The eye of a parent.

Unable to hold myself back, I flung myself into her arms, and sobbed my tired heart out. Releasing all the stress from everything I had been through.

June POV

June had stood there for a while holding the tiny woman. June had felt like Anita was her own daughter. The one she never got to have. So she stood holding the young woman s she cried. Knowing how hard the journey ahead would most likely be for her.

She looked back down at the now calmer woman and asked. "How does chocolate and a comedy movie, sound after the rest of the tour?"

Anita gave smile at the older woman and gave a large smile. "That would be awesome."

Anita POV

I was calmer and we then left and when to the most important place in the house, the bathroom. The room was easily the largest in the room. Everything was colored tan with tan granite counter around the sink and the tile of the floor and a more cream colored tan for the tile in the huge bath/shower with a large glass 'window' around the tub with a bench inside on half of the shower.

All in all it was the best bathroom I had seen ever.

I turned to June and bowed. "I am unworthy!" I joked.
