author's notes (new): so i stumbled across this fic i'd written at least a year ago on ao3 (i'm fiveisarat on there, btw), and despite its shortcomings, i thought it was pretty good. i haven't changed anything about it, just to keep it consistent with the version on ao3, but it could use some reworking and such. if that happens i'll say something in these notes and update the ao3 version as well.
