FAREWELL

(It should be thirty minutes since the selected boys went to the office, yet none had returned. Charlotte began to wonder why they took so long. Just then, the keeper comes back to the room with only four boys; Joshua, Benjamin, John, and David)
     "Umm, sorry boys, get back to your beds and don't feel bad okay...they'll always be a next time." she tries hard to console the boys who were obviously not adopted. She was about to leave when Charlotte moved quickly towards her.
     "Excuse me ma'am"
     "Yes Charlotte " she turned around to listen to whatever she has to say.
     "Ma'am was Charles adopted alongside Diego? By the same parents?"
     "Yes...and if you want to say goodbye to your brother, that'd be okay"
      "Thanks a lot madam" (she gave a really brief hug and quickly refrained knowing the lady was never into hugs.)
   They headed to the office. Charles and Diego were already sitting close to their new parents. Charles is so happy he'd have the chance to say a proper goodbye to his friend.
   Charlotte went in and politely greeted the couple and Diego. Charles was sad and both of them just hugged each other, crying. The keeper explained to the couple that they were siblings and that was why they couldn't handle the whole separation thing. Charlotte gave her handkerchief to Charles , while he gave her his bangle.
  It was time for Charles and Diego to leave with their new family. The keeper asked them to continue being good kids. She hugged them too and they kept waving at them till they were out of sight.
