London greeted me like an old friend. Red buses, black cabs, blue uniformed police officers and grey clouds...could I be anywhere else? Walking down Kings Road I felt a million miles away from the Camargue, not just home, but back in the real world. The side of my stomach was still sore as the bandage pressed against it. In the morning Kayden and I had a slight dispute along with a group of men who tried harassing a woman that is in her mid 20s in the process I had been hit in the stomach. Kayden was wearing a khaki Gucci suit and tie with a pair of tinted blue steampunk Dior spectacles a woman passing by had just stared at him not focusing on her surroundings, he had arrived at the lake house in a midnight black la Ferrari. The strong aroma of Dior was there, his teeth were perfectly aligned and had that icy white finish as he smiled. "When shall we leave for your meeting Adrian, you're looking well brother," exclaimed Kayden. "Why thanks you look quite fresh yourself we shall leave shortly just after I inquire about the new accountant for sector 5 and his position," I responded. I was wearing a white Burberry shirt, grey Armani jeans and a navy Hugo boss blazer. I had dyed my hair a darker shade of grey and had gelled it back. There was a ringing sound, it was the doorbell. I had gone to see as to who was there. Why if it was not Katherine Starbright, my closest friend and favorite person?

We met in America just 5 years ago when I used to go to Harvard, we both were in the same semester along with Kayden and Taz. Biology was our favorite subject we both would work alongside each other, discovering and creating modern technology. "Hello, love how have you been." I said as I invited her in. "Hey, you I've been quite all right I had just stopped by and decided to visit you. How where your travels and how is Taz coping?" She said as she walked in and waved at Kayden. "My trip to France was decent as I phrase it and Taz is doing well if I may add, thank you for asking." I replied in a humble manner. She too, stared at Kayden and complimented him not once but twice as she blushed. "Alright pretty boy let's get going your more than welcome to join us Kathie we do need a designer and your standards are quite exceptional if I must say," I laughed as I opened the door in front of me. Katherine and Kayden followed behind us and decided to take the Range Rover Velar as it was the only car not parked inside of the studio. We were silent for some time I decided to turn on the radio to break the awkward silence. "It's about time we discussed this," said Kayden. "In fact, it's about time we talked about everything!" responded Katherine. I was confused Katherine knew as well. I felt as though I had been living a lie. Both of my best friends decide to tell me the truth just after my father's death. Why? How did any of this make sense? "Kayden will you please explain, "I said as I turned the car into a side road. "Sure, all right so it turns out that your father as well as brother Levi were not only Entrepreneurs and lawyers. They were leaders of a secret society living with a secret which no one knows about neither do we, but they left behind a few clues for you. Well, it would have been nice if they had mentioned earlier, but it's too late now as they had had got themselves killed, which leaves us here today explaining this to you, "explained Kayden. My head stopped functioning. What I was hearing, either I was living a dream, or this was reality. I could not believe a word they were saying but anything is possible. The clues, accidents, deaths it all had added up so there was a possibility that they were telling the truth." Please, Katherine, be truthful you are my dearest friend, is this true? Is any of this true have I been living a lie all this time? Why didn't you tell me sooner? "I shouted. "Adrian, I reliable 'm sorry to say that yes, unfortunately it is true, and this is all Daniel, myself and Kayden know of. Adam is a relative of yours that is how he knew Abraham his name is Adam Lucifer Reynolds a son of late Martin and Christina Reynold's cousins to your father." explained Katherine kneeling over to console me. I could not have my feelings anymore I had burst into tears unable to say a word or even look anyone in the eye. Then I paused for a moment.

Kayden smiled at me as I stared at the side mirror and asked if I needed anything. I denied and said I was quite okay. But he clearly knew that I lied. So, he patted me on the back and smiled with a mixed look of concern. We met Maisha outside of the Nike Store in Oxford Street and walked to a nearby Starbucks. Maisha was wearing a D squared jumper and Chanel fanny pack along with Moschino sunglasses. She looked younger and less sure of herself. She was obviously tired. All her traces of the South of France suntan had disappeared from her face." Iris is going to live," she said as we sat down with 4 lattes." The doctors are fairly sure about that. Shes strong and has kept herself fit. But..." Her voice trembled." It is going to take a long time, Adrian. Shes still unconscious and severely burnt." She stopped and took a sip of her latte." I cannot believe the police claim that it was a gas leak like I am quite sure Andrea's quite careful. Can you believe that Kathie and Kayden because for sure I can't believe anything at this point?" We all looked up at her and decided not to say a word. I thought to myself for a moment. I thought about how much pain Iris was going through and that too at such a youthful age, I was full of nothing but the thought of dismay. I got my life on track but now things were going off the rails. What could happen next...?
