(Jadas Pov)

My eyes wander around the spreadsheets as I skim through what's left of the latest project. My mind casually processing the day. I could hear my Boss in his office behind me through the wall. His raspy voice being muffled by the enclosed walls and wooden door. Sometimes I imagined what type of life he must of had. He was always smiling. Jim was someone most men wanted to be. My long silky legs were crossed. The more I thought about Jim and his broad shoulders my mind unwrapped his body frame like a gift on Christmas. Such a disciplined man. Married too.

As his door rattled behind me, I urged myself forward to look more helpful. I was embarrassed. It seemed he knew I was thinking about him. I was curious, my pencil slipped through my palms as I stared at his tall frame. "Do you need these back?" My voice soft and innocent. He stalked over to me, his eyes wavering a bit. His wife white smile friendly and contagious opens agape as he nods his head. " I can take these now actually. You work first-" he studies my name on my badge. "Jada?" My deep chocolate eyes read him through and through as he begins to fumble his words. "y-You're the new apprentice right?" I had almost no conversation with him previously. I didn't think I had permission to speak the Boss because he was always busy. "Yes sir, I'm new and I can't wait to learn so much from you" I said looking down at the spreadsheets and gathering them up into a pile to hand them over. He took them, his big muscular hands twitching almost avoidant of the warmth of my hand.
"Thank you Thank you" he says turning towards his door and shutting the door leaving me back where I was.
