A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Far Far Away...Chapter 1
Nog (Planet)"So, where did you say Bo Katan was?" Din Dijarin asked following behind Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren. Sabine Wren glanced at him, her eyebrow raised.
"I told you Mando; Bo Katan will show up when she pleases." She replied, which didn't make Din feel any better. This had been there last stop to the Mandalorian planet, which was a small planet with not much to it.
The three of them where waiting outside the local cantina and it was getting dark, but more residents where showing up. Guess this place is busy after sunset. Din thought, crossing his arms.
Ahsoka had sent out a message to Bo Katan under some old code name-Falcrum- and the trio had been waiting on the other Mandalorian for about a week.
"All I'm saying is, she'd better be here this time. I'm tired of waiting around." Din muttered glancing at clientele as they walked in and out of the bar.
"She'll be here..." Sabine said glancing up at the sparkling Galaxy above them. "Don't make promises you can't keep." Ahsoka said, sometimes throwing around some of her Jedi "tidbits".
Mando glanced at the Jedi. Since the escape from the prison she'd been acting warmer and friendlier even more than when they'd first met. Especially when she'd kissed cheek. It was just my helmet. It didn't really count anyway. Din thought, as Ahsoka made eye contact with him.
He looked away, hoping she didn't read his thoughts. "I'm...going to get a drink." Mando said and headed into the cantina.
Music assaulted his ears as soon as he stepped inside. Some people where dancing but most where sitting at tables and playing games or gambling. A Twi'lik man approached him, assumed to be there owner of the cantina.
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" He asked, arms crossed over his chest in a cautious manner. Din Dijarin shrugged peacefully.
"Just here for a drink like everyone else." He stated, glancing at the clients, some of whom were starring back at him. They don't seem to like strangers. Din thought, feeling the need to keep his guard up.
"Oh! My apologies. This way sir." The twi'lik replied and lead him to the center to an empty seat. As he sat down, The Mandalorian felt strange tension in the air. He wondered why the people where so hostile all of a sudden.
As the male twi'lik went back behind the bar, Din Dijarin leaned forward in a conspiratorial way and the man seemed to under his gesture.
"Why is everyone so tense?" He whispered although there where two people he was sat between.
"Well," the twi'lik started, his voice a whisper as the music started up again and everyone ignored the Mando. "Since the fall of Mandalor, the planets near by have suffered from Imperial forces and blame the Mandalorians for abandoning them." The man explained, giving Din Dijarin a pointed look.
The Mandalorian nodded, understanding the situation. I just won't make a fuss then. He thought. The only thing he worried about now was that Sabine Wren was just outside and now another Mandalorian was arriving...hopefully.
Mando ordered a drink and tried to ignore some of the stares from the other people in the bar. It seemed peaceful in the first few minutes until a human man came up to Din Dijarin and tapped him on the shoulder.
The Mandalorian sighed and turned, readying for a fight. The mans bearded face was scarred which made him look even more intimidating and his muscles looked like they where about to pop out of his sleeves.
"You a Mandalorian?" He asked even though he had the man himself had the Mandalorian emblem on his sleeve. Also Din Dijarin thought the question was pretty stupid given he had full Mandalorian armor on.
"What of it?" The Mandalorian asked not wanting to get out of his seat. The bearded man glowered at him as if he planned to-
The man tackled Din Dijarin before he had time to think, his glass slipping out of his hand and crashing to the ground. People scattered and some came close looking to watch the tussle. The man had his hands around the Mandalorians throat squeezing tight.
Then Din Dijarin kicked the man in the stomach, causing him to let the Mandalorian go and sending the man flying across the room. The man slammed into a table with two guests and they leapt out of the way not wanting to be in on the action.
Where are Sabine and Ahsoka? Din wondered, knowing they must've heard all the commotion inside as the bearded man came to rush him again. Then he remembered the weapon he had strapped to his belt.
He tried reaching for it but the man kneed him in the stomach paralyzing him for a minute. He heard footsteps and hoped it was Sabine and Ahsoka. Realizing he was free now he reached for the Dark Saber.
He ignited it.
Everyone in the cantina paused including Ahsoka and Sabine who'd finally joined the ruckus, Ahsokas hand on her lightsaber. Din Dijarin breathed heavily, raising the Dark Saber over his head.
He glanced around eyeing everyone. The bearded man who'd attacked him stared wide-eyes not realizing who he'd picked a fight with.
"Are-are you...?" The man stuttered unsure of what to say. Sabine and Ahsoka were ready to take on any other threats.
"Mando!" A familiar voice shouted and some cantina goers gasped at a third Mandalorian. Din Dijarin glanced over and saw that back up had arrived.
Bo Katan.
