People kept moving around, she had warned the maids several times about coming into her room when she was sleeping but now she wasn't sleeping but she wasn't awake either and she was  irked by the sounds but she couldn't say anything . she had heard someone say she would come around after a few days. she had many curious thoughts but no one to ask. She woke up once more, it was evening; she could tell because the ducks and crickets could be heard from the window on the west of her room which was facing the pond ,someone had left the windows open once more -Another thing she had warned the maids about- she wasn't dead that was for sure, but she was uncertain if she was alive .The incident at the lake was too vivid to have been a dream. She woke up once more but this time for real , it was noon and her mother Elizabeth her two sisters Louise and Camille and her maid were standing around the room . They all gathered around her and from their expressions it was obvious that they were very concerned about the state of her person. she tried to assure  them that she was in good health but it wasn't long till she drifted off once more though for a shorter period this time .The baron visited her in the evening ,he sat there and spoke for a length of time .she discovered from his speech that the prince of Vreur had gone home a few days before. It was such a relief at least she didn't have to deal with him just yet. Although her family pretended to be ok she could see the sadness and disappointment with which they gazed at her .They must have been shocked by her suicide attempt but at least she had learnt that death really wasn't a solution .Her entire family would have been put to death.

Two weeks later, Victoria had regained her health no one spoke about the incident although they all had a few things to say. It was an hour past the noontime , baroness de Bordeaux came in with a frenzy heading towards the dressing room .

" Why did you do it ?" she asked almost too calmly .the look in her eyes was completely opposed to her countenance. her eyes seemed to have gone mad.

" mama....i " without letting her answer the baroness rushed towards the door and locked it. When she turned around her calmness had completely evaporated she looked like a raving mad woman.

"Do you know what could have happened to the family ,to your father and sisters if things had gone the way you planned, I always thought you were wise or at least had great insight , but now i know that you're just silly"

" mama I II.. i'm so sorry "

" Don't you think we have a lot of debt to pay to the Creatos for his graciousness upon our family, do you know how many families are suffering out there but look at us we have never ever lacked. do you think noble people are born noble for nothing. We enjoy these riches but there's a price for it, the duty to serve the people who provide this wealth ; the farmers and their children . In order for us to enjoy this luxury for years to come the land must be at peace and we must keep that peace". with that she started towards the dressing room Victoria was close at her hill
"Mama what are you doing? "
" Get dressed I want to take you somewhere" with that her mother left the room.
Elizabeth and Victoria left the chateau in a strange Manner usually they would be accompanied by footmen and a few maid but this time they only took a footman. They rode for a very long time before arriving at their destination, looking out of the window Victoria quickly realised where they were the slumps on the outskirts of the city.Victoria had heard tales about the slumps from the maids but her imaginations were nothing in comparison to the reality the place was just horrifying.
"Mama where are we going " she asked as she was starting to get frightened.
" You'll know when we get there now come along" Elizabeth said pulling Victoria the arm.
As the walked deeper and deeper into the slumps the atmosphere thickened with fog and a pungent odour filled the air . Victoria felt light headed she couldn't wait to leave this place . The area was filled with dirty and malnourished children whose eyes seemed like they would fall out of their sockets. They turned into a smellier route and she noticed that there were less and less people until finally it was just the two of them.
they arrived at a dilapidated old cottage  and her mother proceeded to knock. Initially Victoria had been somewhat frightened but now she had every reason to be terrified. This cottage was decorated with skills -presumably human- and other human bones tied on a strange. There were pots of foul smelling liquid around the doorstep and the whole place really just looked perverse
