All of it came back to the alpha. He had traveled this way before for food not long ago. What he had found was not food, but a murder scene he did not want the youngling to relive.
The winds of ice uncovered the skulls and bones of what used to be a family of Dire wolves. The bones of a mother along with three of her pups lay frozen in the ice and snow.
Flashes of blood, jaws snapping, yelping, and hearts stopping went through Mirage's head. The memories of his puppyhood came back to him in a flash.
The wind howled, as the Icey snow hit the face of a red and grey Dire wolf female. "Come children hurry!" She called over her shoulder to her four children trying to trudge through the snow.
"Mother, Mirage has fallen back again." a grey and black female pup announced.
"Keep walking children, I will tend to your little brother." The mother turned around, walking passed her three puppies to her fourth who sat tiredly in the deep snow. "We must keep going. I know you are weak from battle, but we are leaving to get away from the madness." the mother had no choice but to pick up her child and carry him.
"Mother!" A cry of help escaped one of her puppies.
The female rushed to her children to find two large males threatening her pups.
"You run why Illusion? Because you think you will save your children from their training?" Steeljaw hissed smirking with his blood-stained fangs.
Placing her smallest pup under her front paws. "Steeljaw this is madness. You support Shockwave's insane ideas instead of you pack!" the female snarled bearing her fangs. "And Shockwave, to do this to your own children!"
"Oh Illusion you know damn well I do not share DNA with any of your mutts, except the one." Shockwave circled around behind the female.
"Now if you would be so kind as to escort one of your children back to their training we can stop this pathetic argument." Shockwave lowly growled in the female's ear.
The females blue scarlet tinted eyes burned with fire. "I will do no such thing!"
"Well then you leave us no choice then." Steeljaw signaled his one-eyed friend to attack.
Shockwave lunged onto the female's neck and locked on. Mirage's brothers and sister attacked Shockwave and Megatron without haste.
"You have one last chance to make the right choice, hand over the brat!" Steeljaw snarled after snapping a pups neck.
"I will not agree! Run children!" Illusion whined as her neck snapped.
"Mommy!" Two pups cried as they lunged at Steeljaw.
Steeljaw grabbed one while Shockwave grabbed the other both of their necks snapped like a twig. Mirage tried to attack but ended up being swatted, and bit in the eye. Steeljaw grabbed the red pup by the shoulder and tossed him, tumbling him over his mother's lifeless body.
Mirage pulled himself over his mother's fallen body and stared directly into the yellow eyes of his father. Shockwave stood behind him securing the pup as Steeljaw dropped the pup in his jaws. "Now come child." Steeljaw hissed licking the blood off his chops.
Mirage shook his nervous head, tears escaping his deep blue eyes.
"Fine stay here, you will come back when you get scared. You know where to find us!" Steeljaw snarled leaving the scene of death.
Shockwave glared intensely at his child, before following his leader. Leaving his child bleeding and beat. Mirage sobbed curling up with his dead mother's body, shivering from the cold he cried tears of anguish. An hour later Mirage opened his eyes to meet the eyes of a blue-eyed stranger. Bearly alive freezing to death the stranger without question picked him up. And gave him another chance at life.
