I woke up before my alarm clock, this seemed to be a regular thing now a days. You see since I  met him I have been having trouble functioning, I can't shake the shimmer in his green eyes when he asked for that water, neither can i shake the memory of the sweat dripping down his shirt leaving a perfect outline of his abs. Is all this crazy? Fantasising about a guy I just met? I don't even know his name! "Violet you have lost your mind" I say whilst I grab some pizza my roommate George had left from last night. I slip into my work out clothes and head for the door. "Just sweat out the idea of him!" I kept thinking. Central park is where I go when I need to remove something of my mind, my last 3 boyfriends have been sweated out here. The green trees grab my attention making me forget about anything else but them.

I have been running for a whole hour now and he hasn't entered my mind, this is good right? I kept on running until I reached my usual break point, I sat on a bench next to this lovely old man and his Yorkshire terrier, It was a scrawny little thing with pig eyes it looked awfully demonised to me, I stood up feeling intimidated by the dogs stare, but instead of the subtle exit I was hoping for it turned into a disaster!. I must have gotten tangled in the dogs lead rope forcing me to hit the ground like a lumber jack had taken and aces to me. I look up hoping to not be socially embarrassed, but the person to be jogging by was the cause of  my insomnia. The green eyed God, with his flexing mussels and abs on full display, making my heart beat just a little bit faster. He must have remembered me as he gave a confused yet sudden look, he ran about 10 seconds before stopping suddenly and turning back around. I must have been in total shock because the thought of standing up hasn't occurred to me yet. "Water girl?". A piece of me died! He has a nickname for me!!!! "Hello there green eyes". Regretting what I said as soon as it left my mouth GREEN EYES! Violet has that millimetre drop caused a brain malfunction? What an idiotic comment, I muttered to myself.
My ridiculous remark to the colour of this strangers eyes hadn't made him run away... Yet.

I move the conversation on swiftly "so do you run here often" not my best pick up line but it seemed to lighten the mood.
"everyday, do you lay here often?" He replied in a sarcastic manor which only made the sexual tension I felt become stronger! "Oh didn't you know? I live here with my demon dog". I said pointing at the old mans dog that was still staring at me. He began to laugh which made me smile, his laugh was so deep it made me want to jump on him right there. "Would you like a hand up?" He said still laughing, i gestured my hands to him and he lifted me as if I was a feather. I stood up but he was still holding onto my hands, I glanced up at him and I could feel that he wanted me as much as I wanted him.
"well water girl I would love to take you out for coffee sometime?" My heart stopped beating all together and my knees went weak.
"I wouldn't mind that either, and its violet by the way... My name".
"Well it's lovely to know that water girl isn't your real name". He spoke in a crude but bantering way. " Edgar is my name, just in case you thought I went by the name green eyes" my face turned flushed at this point knowing that he will forever remember me as the stranger that characterises him with "green eyes".
"Well Edgar it's been lovely talking to you but I must run" I wanted to get out of there before he realised I had began to sweat from the afternoon sun. "Okay then but promise me I'll see you at 8oclock at Rodrigues cafe". I officially have died an gone to heaven, I begin walking with a smile so wide, but not until I hear him say in the distance "I knew that wouldn't have been the last time I saw you".
This comment just made my sweat proceed to roll down my body faster.
