Alone

The day it happend

12:00

Marissa looks at the clock. Time for lunch! Her favorite part of the day!

She walks downstairs to the kitchen where her mother is fixing something that smells delicious.
"What are you making?" Marissa asks in concern.
"Peanut butter bars to take over to the party later!"
"Yes!" Marissa yells in excitement.
Her friend Lauren asked her family to come to a summer party to celebrate the summer finally arriving.

"What is going on here? I am trying to talk to Celia" Jake asked while Marissa is making some Mac and cheese. Jake is Marissa's older brother.
"Nothing. Everything is fine," her mom told Jake.

"What do you mean you can't come, we always go on a walk," Marissa screamed into the phone.
"I'm sorry just there is a family emergency that needs to be taken care of, sorry," Samantha (Sammy) told Marissa.
"Fine whatever by," and just like that Marissa hung up on Sammy.
"Mom I am going on a walk now, without Sammy."
"Why you always go with her?"
"She had a family emergency"
"Oh. Well then be carful"
"I will!"
Marissa shut the door and rood her bike to the woods.

When she got to the woods she parked her bike up against a pole and walked straight into the woods.
She could hear sticks crack beneath her feet, leaves crunching, birds chirping! It was a beautiful sound. She passed people jogging and people talking to her friends. Moments like this she really wished she was with Sammy.
Marissa walked through this big field it was quite no birds, no cars starting, just quite. She started to jog, faster, faster, faster.
She stared to walk when she was out of breath. She sat down on the ground humming a song her and Sammy used to sing all of the time.

People passed her, they all had one thing in common, they all looked at her.

This one person a boy about in his 20 she's seen him go around the woods several times.
But of course she did not think anything of it, until he approached her.
"Hello, having a nice walk?" She asked
"Yes I am!" He said looking around the field.
"Do u need some water?" He asked.
"Yes! Please" she replied standing up. He handed her a water bottle and she drank most of it right away as the man was smiling.

She started to feel dizzy, tired, not like herself.
Then all of a sudden she fell to the ground hard.
