Effie's POV:

I am Effie. I have decided to start looking for a job after graduating from the New York community college. My mom passed about 7 years ago when I was 16. My dad isn't really in the picture, he usually just goes out to bars and drinks till he passes out. After my mom died everything just spiraled out of control. My dad started to drink a lot, my grades went down a lot during senior year, and I basically had no one to confide in. After high school I made the stupid decision to move to New York with nothing, but the little amount of money I have saved over the years. It wasn't as bad as I thought considering where I am right now. I got my shit together and finished college being an A-B student. I am now starting my search for jobs now that I'm out. The time that I've been here has mainly been at the coffee shop of which I currently work at. It makes enough money to get food, pay rent, and bills.

It's been about a week and I have gotten the chance to be an assistant supervisor at this big company. It pays....$150,000 A YEAR! I am now walking to the job and the building up ahead is it. This is the biggest building I have ever been in. It's massive. As I walk up to the entry way, I open the grand glass doors and walk up to the receptionist. The lady looks to be in her 40's, black hair, dark skin, and bright hazel eyes. Her hair is curled to her shoulders and seems to be dressed very professional. I say," Excuse me ma'am?" She looks up from her notepad and has a bright smile on her face. I explain to her that I am here for the assistant supervisor position. She kindly guides me to the elevators after turning a few corners and goes back to her desk. I am supposed to go up to floor 46. I stand and wait in the elevator as people get on and off. It feels as if this thing has been going up forever. I finally hear ding letting me know that I have finally made it to my stop. I see many other girls sitting in chairs, a couple of guys, but the thing that stands out to me most is the gaurds standing by a massive doorway of which seems to be made of wood, which is very different compared to the modern finish of the rest of the place.

About an hour passes. Girls and guys have gone in and all come out with some down look on their face. It is finally my time to enter the room. The guards let me through, then go back to there expressionless and motionless stance. There is a wall of which divides. You can go left or right, but as far as I can see they both lead to the same place. Mr. Silas is his name. I decide to turn right and then I see him. He is staring out of the glass looking down onto the streets. He turns to me and I am greeted with someone that definitely looks to be in his 20's as well. Besides that, he is tall and brooding. He looks intimidating and like someone you would not want to mess with. His dark brown hair almost looks to be black. Green eyes that stare into my eyes as if looking for something. He definitely goes to the gym. Muscles buldging through his black button down. Tan skin, different than my skin being that mine is ivory and pale as can be. I realize that I have been staring longer than I should have and snap out of it.

Ezra's POV:

After hours of waiting to find a canadate to fit this position. An assistant supervisor, how hard can it be? Apparently very hard to find someone with all these women gwuaking at me and gay men getting a bit to close. Finally, the last person that I have to interview is here. I hear her heels clacking against the marble floors, wait a moment, then I turn around. She is a very beautiful person. Black hair down to her waist, curled at the ends. Red lips and a black wing was all that she seemed to have done. Compared to all the other people that have come in here, she has worn the least. A tight black skirt that reaches just above the knee, and a black blouse. Blood red heels, about 2 and a half inches off the ground. She has been staring at me, as I have been staring at her. I need to snap out of it, so finally I walk over to my desk, pick up her resume, and decide to ask her some questions based off what she put. She definitely feels intimidated by my presence, but I enjoy when people fear me.

About a couple of minutes after viewing over the resume, I decided to speak. I told her," Please take a seat Ms. Aldine." She slowly walks over to the black leather chair sitting on the other side of my desk facing me. The first thing I ask her is: "Why do you want this job Ms. Aldine?" She has a questioning look on her face, then finally speaks," I want to start a new chapter in my life. I want to make a bigger, better change in my life than just working at a little coffee shop of which is just enough to survive." I think to myself surprised, but don't show that expression on my face. I can tell she is staring at me as I am looking down at the papers in front of me. I notice her breathing is heavy and she is fiddling with her hands meaning she is quite nervous. After a few seconds of silence, I finally say," You're hired Ms. Aldine."
