I was a commoner. Was. I am now a performer for royalty and higher ups, and I could even call myself wealthy. I don't know if I am happy with this wealth or not. I live a very bland life. Everyday I wake up, go through my mail, accept a few invitations from people, practice what they request, go to parties, perform, go home, and then sleep. It's the same thing everyday.

Or I guess a normal everyday doesn't always last. On the 'un-normal' morning I received a letter with a strange seal on the front of it. As I pealed open the letter and began reading I noticed that the person who wrote the letters handwriting looked like it was shaking. Not in a fearful way, but in an uncertain way. As if they didn't know what was writing was correct. They must be learning how to write or something.

"Dear Y/N L/N, The king of ------ requests that you perform for the princes marriage ceremony. The pieces of music can be of your choice and if you accept the king will also have your gown  ready. Signed by, ------"

I just sighed and started writing an acceptance letter. The prince hm. I've never met him before. It is a foreign land so it would make sense but I would have at least seen one picture of him somewhere. I guess it is better not to sweat over it. Once I finished writing the letter I handed it to my handmaid and she started walking away to the postoffice. Sighing, I stood up and walked over to my piano, staring at the worn out keys. And started to practice.

I stared at myself in the mirror and almost screamed. This 'king' gave me the most flashiest dress I have ever seen. Maybe it's common here? If it is common here then that means that bright red laced dresses with woman's backs showing must be common or something. I started worrying about my arm and stomach fat while staring at my reflection through the mirror.  "Do I look weird? Do I look out of place? Will I make a mistake?" and so on.

In the end, yes I did stick out. Everyone was wearing lighter colors like white, grey, blue. Not one person was wearing red. Well, if you don't count myself. I put my hand on my forehead and walked to the piano, carefully sitting on the bench. I stared at the corner of the room where two young men stood chatting and laughing.

One had brown hair with a short amount of hair growing from the back of his head. The ends of his hair was a strange gold color. The other had a titian colored hair with bright blue eyes. After a few minutes, the brown haired man walked away with a solemn look on his face.

Once he was out of sight the king walked into the room and everyone went silent. He gave a short speech about his son and how proud he was although his face said otherwise. Soon enough, the prince walked in. The prince was the man I saw in the corner at first. He looked disgusted just from standing next to his new wife. The king then looked at me and nodded which made me think it was my turn to play the piano. So that's what I did.
