Foreign Marriage (Damirea)

CH 1

Ravens POV.

"Father, I will not go on a date with Al-Ghul's grandson!" I exclaimed, my frustration evident in my voice.

"Daughter, you will go on a date with him! I don't care if you don't like him. Now, go put on the dress that he got for you! Now!!!" My father's voice boomed through our home.

Reluctantly, I went to my room and prepared myself, doing my hair and makeup, and donning the purple dress he had chosen. Despite my annoyance, I was relieved it was a color I liked. I summoned a portal and arrived at our designated meeting point, secretly hoping he wouldn't show up. Unfortunately, my wishful thinking was in vain.

"Hello, Raven. I'm Damien," he introduced himself, tapping my shoulder. I turned to face him, surprised by his sudden appearance. He wore a sleek black suit and tie, and I couldn't help but admit he looked handsome.

"Hi... How are you?" I replied cautiously as we started to walk through the park.

"I'm fine. You?" Damien asked.

I found myself thinking, 'Man, he's cute... Wait, what am I thinking?' before answering, "I'm good, but a little annoyed by my mother," with a sigh.

We continued our walk in silence, eventually reaching a fancy restaurant. We sat down at a table, Damien pulling out the chair for me. As I sat down, he took the seat across from me. I was unsure about what to order.

"Hey, Damien, I don't know what to order. What do you recommend?" I inquired.

He considered for a moment. "Um, I don't know. Are you allergic to anything?" he asked.

I shook my head. "No, at least I don't think I am."

"In that case, just ask for them to surprise you," he suggested with a sly smile.

"Um, okay, I guess I will," I replied with a hesitant but appreciative smile, realizing that perhaps this date wouldn't be as bad as I initially thought.

Damien's POV.

As we sat at the restaurant, I couldn't help but think, 'She is so beautiful...' I knew I had to make some small talk to keep the conversation going. "So, you like tea?" I asked, trying to break the silence.

"Yeah, I like tea. It helps me relax when I'm mad or stressed out, or just when I feel like having tea," she replied, taking a small sip from her cup.

Three hours passed by surprisingly quickly. Eventually, she mentioned that it was late, and she needed to get back home. I decided to seize the opportunity. "I'll take you home, and maybe I can speak to your father," I suggested, offering her a smirk.

She hesitated for a moment before agreeing, "Umm... Okay, I guess that will be fine."

We went through a portal, and I respectfully greeted her father before addressing her. "Hey, Raven, can you take me to my place, please?" I asked kindly.

"Okay, here you go," she replied as she conjured a portal for my return. Before stepping through, I reached out and gently grabbed her wrist, placing a quick, small kiss on her cheek. Then, I swiftly made my way back through the portal to my room.

Upon my arrival, I encountered my mother, who inquired about how the date had gone. I told her that it had gone rather fine, and I hinted at the continuation of 'phase two.'

Raven's POV

Blushing hard, I rushed to my room and changed into my pajamas, eager to escape the embarrassment of the evening. Sleep couldn't come soon enough.

The next morning, I was awakened by my father, who informed me that "phase two" was about to begin. Exhausted, I went back to sleep, only to wake up later and realize that I was no longer in my room. Panic set in as I found myself unable to move, and then I saw him—Damien.

"Damien?! What's going on?" I pleaded for answers, but he didn't respond. Instead, he left the room. Moments later, his mother entered and began to explain everything to me.

It was a horrifying revelation. I had been traded by my father for ten thousand men, and I was to be married to Damien in just one week. Anger and sadness boiled within me as I contemplated my predicament with my NEW husband.
