After a long day of “training” with Akame, Tatsumi was finally able to be sent on a mission. This would be Tatsumi's first mission as a member of Night Raid. It would be Tatsumi's chance to prove to the other members of Night Raid that he was capable of being one of them. This mission would involve Tatsumi finding and killing a commanding officer of the Military Police. The person that Tatsumi was sent to kill was a man by the name of Ogre. He was a mountain of a man who used his power both physically and politically to get away with whatever he wanted.
It would be Tatsumi's job to end his life, making sure he would never be able to continue to poison the Empire with his crimes. In order to find Ogre, Tatsumi would have to go to the Capitol alone to find him and kill him. After that, Tatsumi would have to survive and return back to the hideout to show that he had completed the mission. Tatsumi found Ogre walking out of a bar and he approached him. Tatsumi tried to fool him to let his guard down but Ogre wasn't a fool and now Tatsumi was in for the fight of his life. Little did he know a certain masked figure was about to show up and help Tatsumi. All Tatsumi had to do was live long enough for that to happen.

Capitol Streets: Capitol

Fighting for his life against the giant Ogre, Tatsumi was doing all that he could to parry and block Ogre's sword swings. However Ogre's sword swings were so heavy and powerful that they sent Tatsumi backwards.
"I'm gonna kill you here and now and then I'm gonna kill that little whore who hired you Night Raid fools to kill me" Ogre said as he swung his sword down on Tatsumi
Tatsumi held his sword out and used to block Ogre's swing and protect himself but the force of it pushed Tatsumi down into the ground
"I can't keep this up" Tatsumi said to himself as he rolled out of the way of another one of Ogre's attacks
"You should of thought about that before you stabbed me in the back" Ogre said as he grabbed Tatsumi's arm and threw him into a stone wall of a building
Ogre went to stab Tatsumi to finish him off, Tatsumi closed his eyes and readied himself for what was to come. At that moment, Ogre went to kill Tatsumi, he swung his sword dow to cut Tatsumi in half. Tatsumi braced himself but soon realized that he was still alive, he opened his eyes and saw a familiar figure standing in front of him blocking Ogre's attack.
"It's you" Tatsumi said in awe
"Another Night Raid fool come to die" Ogre said with a twisted grin on his face
The masked figure looked up at Ogre revealing himself to be the Masked Assassin
"The Masked Assassin is teaming up with Night Raid, how interesting" Ogre said as he pulled his sword back
"I'm just here trying to keep this idiot safe" the Masked Assassin said looking back at Tatsumi
"Hey!!!" Tatsumi said offended
"Regardless I am going to kill both of you" Ogre said as he readied himself
"Kid, when I give you the signal, run as fast as you can" the Masked Assassin tells Tatsumi
At that moment, Ogre swung his sword downwards at the Masked Assassin, the Masked Assassin blocked Ogre's sword swing and then pushed the large man backwards using his Whirlwind
"Run kid" the Masked Assassin told Tatsumi
Instead of running like he was told to, Tatsumi stayed there readying his sword to attack
"I'm not going anywhere, I was tasked with killing him and I'm not going to fail" Tatsumi said to the Masked Assassin
"Your first kill was in the heat of the moment, you aren't going to be able to kill him" the Masked Assassin told Tatsumi
