9 _ A New Generation [Chapter 1]

When he finally got down, the whole world around him was big, almost all things towered over him, he looked around trying to find something familiar, like a red car. he ran towards the car, & what he saw made him jump, Two dead bodies, a mother & a son. But he ignored it & walked past the car with caution, trying to find where the 'other kind' can be.

Then a scattering sound surrounded him, 9 looked around him franticly, left & right. until he noticed a light coming from behind a cyclops like machine. Then the light shined at him, 9 ran as fast as he can to find himself a hiding spot inside a can. he looked around, trying to find something to guard himself, while the steps got closer & the light got brighter, he found what looked like an end of a wrench. Then just when the 'other kind' was just around him, he swung it at the 'other kind', giving a grunt & then fell on the floor. 9 looked around the can just to see that he was correct, another one of his kind, which he looked like a burlap. When the 'other kind' looked at 9, 9 quickly tried to get out of his sight.

"Wait! I'm a friend." a kind soft old male's voice said as he held his hand out.

9 looked backed at him, still holding the end of the wrench. then when 9 looked at him, he dropped his 'weapon' & helped him up. Then the 'other kind' letted out a chuckle & said.

"Yes. I've always hoped." He said as he gave a smile.

Then it seemed like the 'other kind' was trying to get a look on 9 back. What 9 notice on the 'other kind's' back, he noticed the name on the other kind' , '2' it read. 2 admired the details on 9 for a moment, then looked back at him. 9 couldn't speak so he had to mouth words. 'i can't speak.', 9 mouthed.

"You can't speak?" 2 asked. then 2 gestured his hand towards 9's zipper, 9 zip his down. 2 looked inside for a moment then realized.

"ah-ha" 2 quietly mumbled to himself. "Come with me." 2 said, then 9 followed him around the scrap yard.

When 2 lighted the match, & lighted the candle that was planted onto his hat. 2 started to dig into the doll's chest that laid in front of him. 9 found some object that was shaped like a bullet, he wasn't sure what it was, but he decided to give a tap. 2 finally found the voice box that was glued into the dolls endoskeleton, 2 pulled it out with a light jerk.

"Here." But before 2 can say anything else, 9 raised the bulled over his head, about to smash it.

"Stop!" 2 yelled out quietly.

9 stoped what he was doing and held the bulled in front of his chest. Then 2 quietly said.

"Some things on this world are, are better left where they lie...But if you know where to look, these ruins are full of riches." 2 said as he was putting the voice box into 9's chest.

"friend?" 9 said, but with a static that filled his voice.

The more 2 adjust it, the more 9's voice became clearer, finally. "Friend?"

"Friend." 2 replied back with a smile, he looked at him for a moment, then suddenly notice something inside 9's zipper.

"Whats this?" 2 asked. 9 pulled out the talisman from inside. 2 gasped with surprise. "You found it! He- He's always drawling this." 2 said with a chuckle.

Then 9 heard a ominous growl in the distance, But 2 didn't seem to notice.

"A-Are we alone?" 9 asked 2 quietly.

"No, no-"

They both heard the growl, but it was even closer. Then scatters around them started. 2 hushed at 9 as 2 put the talisman near his feet. Then 2 pushed 9 to the side, pointing his finger into a type of can that has a hole in it, which made it easy for him to get in. 2 put out the candle with his invention. But before 9 went in the can, he looked back at 2 for a moment.

"Get in the can, go on." 2 quietly told 9, 9 went into the can.

2 took his spear out, getting ready to attack whatever approached them. the steps got closer, scatters from far & near surrounded 2. 2 started to tremble, he looked left & right. just then he heard a slight creak behind him. He quickly looked behind him, but before he could attack. The Cat Beast quickly swiped 2, making 2 lose his spear. then the Cat Beast trapped 2 with its hands. Then 2 quickly grabbed his spear before the Beast can lift him up, he quickly threw the spear into the Beast's eye. The Beast yowled as he threw 2 into the wagon. 9 quickly took a peak around the can he saw that the Beast picked up the talisman that 2 left, the put it somewhere in his chest. Then 9 quickly hidden away from the Beast, making the can wobble which made the Beast notice. 9 quickly froze, not making any movement. the beast peaked around the can, then went out of sight. 9 decided to peak again. Suddenly 9 jumped and yelped when the Beast forced its hand into the hole, desperate to grab the small stitchpunk. Then 9 found himself huddled up onto the wall of the can. He tried to keep flat against it, when the Beast's finger tips was just centimeters away from his chest. Then the Beast felt something hit him.

"hey hey hey." 2 said weakly.

Then the Cat Beast approached him.

"Why don't you finish what you started...with me." 2 said as he weakly picked up another rock.

Before the Cat beast tried to grab him. 9 screamed as he heard a robotic screech with a loud bang. 9 started to take one last peak. He notice that two robots were fighting, 9 couldn't tell what the other one was, but it was almost like a cat fight, but even more violent. and before he can react, a robot tripped over the can, making 9 flip over. He couldn't tell which one did it. He sat there for a moment, listening to the two robots fighting. When he looked at the hole, He noticed that the other robot got 2 & just ran past the can he was in, the Cat Beast chased after the other robot. 9 slowly got out of the can, until a sharp edge cut around 9's shoulder. He winced for a moment. but as he quietly got out of the can, he notice the other robot was gone, the Cat Beast looked left & right. 9 hid behind a rock that he can easily bend down & stay hidden. Then 9 peeked & saw the cat beast run off. before 9 can even get up, the robot rushed passed 9, He jumped as he screamed but quickly covered his mouth. 9 couldn't describe the other robot well, until the other robot quickly jolted his head behind. 9 quickly ducked down, trying not to wince with the soft pain of his shoulder. he heard the steps come closer, 9 started to hyperventilate, until the steps went away. Then 9 looked above the rock, seeing 2 in the other robots mouth. 2 whimpered until the other robot ran fast speed. 9 got up as soon as the Other robot was gone. he got onto of a small hill where he finds the Cat beast run towards a tall building, while the other robot ran somewhere towards the left. 9 winced with pain, Then 9 thought to himself for a moment.

9 thought since the other robot ran somewhere else, he decided to go after the Beast. He became more weak the more he walked, until he passed out onto the dry ground.
