Brick's head felt like it was on fire, litterly. It was the most intense pain ever. At war, you get ton of pain, but he's never been in one at all and this wasn't war at all, it was a mystery.
He was just at boot camp, doing some k runs with his comrads, his drill sargeant's orders, when a sudden mysterious light immediately appeared infront of him. Blinding him and somehow burning his skin which is impossible. As lights don't burn things unless their warm radiation is at a high tempature. Then nothing.
Then he was in and out of unconsiousness, he first felt like he felt on something. It felt like the grain of sand, he's probably on a beach? He wasn't sure, cause there aren't analyse beaches near booth camp. Somehow, someone held his hand to check his pulse and a voice? No, it was two voices! He was saved!
Next thing he felt was something, fuzzy. Of something carrying him cause it was moving. Also some more voices, female ones. But he was to tired to hear the rest of it as he drifted off into a deep sleep.
The soldier in training slowly started to regain consciousness letting out a goarn caught the attention of who ever saved him. Cause he soon heard multiple voices talking. As he opened his eyes his vision was a bit blury but it eventualy became much more clear but by bit as he blink a few more times.
"Are we gonna keep him?" A high pitched voice said.
"Steven I already told you, we can't keep a total stranger here!" A female tone said unconvinced.
"Aw, come on Pearl, is not like he has powers to harm us, but if he does we'll beat him up!" Another female voice added.
"What matters now, is making sure he heals properly then we can find out where he came from." A third female voice poke up, the tone of her voice sounds so calm than the first one.
"Look he's waking up!" A fourth female voice called out, sounded like a little girl.
"Huh..." Brick was covered in bandage by the arms and forehead. He then winced putting up hand on his forehead. "Urgh, my head..!" He slowly sat up. Then he gazed up at the strangers he's heard just moments ago.
Steven, Connie and the Gems stared at him blankly.
Brick started at them back.
It was a slight tense atmosphere cause of a staring match between all of them.
"Hi!" Steven piped up with a big smile.
"Ah!" Brick jumped back a bit in a defense stance. But that harsh move caused him to winced a bit at the pain in his arms. "Ow..."
Connie then held a class of water and a pain killer pill to him. "For the pain."
He hesitates but seeing that she doesn't seem a threat or anything he accept it. In no time he drank down the pill. He let out a sigh after drinking the hole class of water. He then felt his stomach growl as he is hungry.
"Here!" Steven serves him a class of orange juice along a plate of waffles with syrup and wiped cream.
"Um, thanks." He said.
The Gems looked at him at his every move which was a bit intimidating for Brick as he slowly took a bite of his waffles.
"Sooooooo..." Amethyst started. "Who are you? And why do you look like somekind of hunk?" She said bluntly but jokingly that last part.
Brick choked on his drink hearing that which causes him to get a bit flustered by the compliment.
"Amethyst!" Pearl scolds her.
"What? It's kind of true thought..." She mumbled to herself. "I mean look at him."
Brick's gaze repeatedly shifts around still feeling flustered by the comment.
