The chiming of the bell indicating that someone entered alerted Dahyun as she hastily walked out of her shop's storage room. She smiled warmly as she greeted the new customer
"Welcome, how may I help you with the flowers?"
He looked at her and without returning the smile he said "A bouquet of flowers would do"
"To whom will you be giving it sir?" she asked as walked to the aisle of assorted flowers.
He heaved a sigh before informing her "To someone to I'm forced to marry"
Dahyun who was surprised with the answer looked up to see the man.
"Why do you ask?" he added not bothering to care about her strange stare at him.
"Well each flower has its own meaning so the certain flower you should pick should be according to its event and or occasions" she smiled as she explained. "And to know that you'll be giving it to someone whom you're forced to marry-"
Looking through her dozens of flowers she exclaimed happiness as she found the perfect flower for her customer.
She showed him three different types of flowers that are similar to each other for its meaning and color.
"This is red carnation, and it symbolizes: love, pride, and admiration"
"Red Tulips, although it looks so simple red tulips also holds the meaning for declaration of love"
"And lastly, Red Rose. Red Rose is always used for romantic things so its pretty common if you'll ask me"
"I never knew flowers have such meanings" he exclaimed lowly "I thought they're meaningless"
Dahyun who was a bit offended by his words scoffed and said "Flowers are a living thing as well just like us humans, they also have meanings just like you and me"
"Really? What if I tell you that I have no meaning at all" he asked.
"Nonsense!" Dahyun exclaimed. "Every human being has its own meaning, maybe you just haven't found the right person to let you see your meaning and worth" she said softly and smiled after.
"So which of the three are you going to pick?" she asked after her hefty little lecture about meaning and worth to the man.
"What do you think would be the worst to give her?" he asked seriously.
Dahyun shrugged as she isn't sure for those three flowers signifies one meaning and that is love.
Knowing that she won't answer, "A bouquet of red roses would do, just like what you said, they are pretty common"
She then nodded her head and went up to the counter and had started tapping on her machine "Are you going to pick it up later or wait for it" she asked "It won't take long, 10-15 minutes it'll be done already"
"I'll pick it up, are you still open around 5:45?" he asked.
"The store is open until 10 in the evening so yes, I'm still here at that time" Dahyun informed as she pointed to the sign of their opening and closing time signboard on her counter. "If that's so the payment would be later once it's to be picked up but your total would be 35,000 won($28.98)"
"Do you want me to put a card in it?" she asked laslty "If so, what do you want to say" she said waiting to jot down everything to her paper.
"Shin Jihyun
I don't really like you and I'm just being forced to court you like this, I hope you'll stop being a bitch and just tell your parents to stop all of this bullshit
- Kim Taehyung"
"Oka~y?" she answered unsure of what she should do.
"Very well, I expect it to be done once I'm here" Taehyung said as he walked his way to the door.
5:40 PM
The bell once again chimed as the door opened with a customer coming in.
Dahyun looked up to see Taehyung. She walked away to get the flowers at the storage room before coming back with it in her hands.
Placing it gently on the counter, she said "Would you like the payment to be in cash or card?"
Reading thru the card if everything he said was written in the card was there, "The latter" he simply said.
As he finished paying he walked away and said "Thanks, I hope you could be my friend after that little lecture about meaning and worth earlier" he looked right at her eyes and added "It looks like you're that certain person to let me see the true meaning and worth in me"
You see I'm not really good when it's always the start of the story so yeah just bare with it.
