Ron let his saddened face change when he saw scabbers. Ron picked the rat up, and it bit him. Lillian grabbed the boys hand as the rat fell out. She noticed the blood in an instant.
"That bloody rat bit me," he spoke, as he followed the rat. Lillian ran after him.
"Both of you stop!" Hermione called. The two reach the top and disappeared onto the mountain. Lillian looked at the rat, and to Ron. She hadn't realized that they had been under the Womping Willow. She nelt beside Ron, and placed a hand on his shoulder. Ron now cradled the rat in his hands, blood dripping.
"Now behave Yourself," he spoke. Harry and Hermione looked mortified. The two red heads had been under the womping willow without knowing. Lillian gave a weak smile. She had know something that she wasn't saying.
"Yes... Scabbers behave yourself," she spoke, though it was clear that it sounded like a threat. Before realizing it, something had gotten a hold on Ron's foot. It looked like a dog. Lillian instantly held onto Ron like a sister trying to protect her brother. Hermione went in to grab a hold of the two and Harry did as well. Unfortunately Ron and Lillian had been pulled into a gap in the tree. The two had been pulled through a tunnel like scene. Lillian felt tears fall down the now muddy face of her own. Ron and Lillian had been pulled into a house, and released. The dog left them.
"Ron... are you alright?" Lillian spoke, her voice quiet and her heart racing. Ron nodded, and hugged her with scabbers in his hand. Before realizing it, Lillian let out a small cringe of pain. Her arm looked like a broken twig. "It looks as if we are in the shrieking shack." She spoke softly, and pulled out of the hug. Her arm was starting to cause her more than enough pain. Lillian helps Ron to a sagging bed, before jumping at her brothers voice.
"The dog... where is the dog?" He asked, walking over to the two. Lillian shook her head.
"Harry... I am pretty sure this is a trap..." she spoke, sitting by Ron on the bed. Ron nodded to agree. His foot was bloody, and he looked just as bad as Lillian. Before the four can converse any more, a man walked into the room. Harry examines the man, as do the others. Filthy, matted hair hangs to his shoulders. His skin like a corpse. The man studied both Harry and Lillians faces. Harry had drawn his wand.
"If you are going to kill the last two Potters, you have to kill us too." Hermione was showing her strength. But Lillian had to hold back a rebuttal. He wanted her dead too, and knowing her brother, he would do anything to protect his sister.
Black glared at the four. "Only one will die tonight," he spoke. Lillian was terrified, and wasn't sure what to do. She had left her wand in her robe with Fred. Harry pounced forward, clear intent.
"Then it will be you!" Harry yelled. Harry eyed Black, before hearing footsteps. All looked at the doorway. Harry's had was shaking.
"Going to kill me, Harry?" The mans voice was dark, but had a hint of a saddened tone. Harry had looked more than angry as he spoke.
"Yes." When the footsteps became closer, the five looked that way. "Professor Lupin?!" All the children spoke. The men soon look at each other, ignoring the children now.
"Looking a bit ragged, aren't we, Sirius? Finally the skin reflects the madness within." Lillian raised an eyebrow. She let a small huff out, becoming irritated with both pain, and the ridiculous situation. Zoning out, Lillian could feel the air around them thinning. When she watched the few argue. She had noticed something. It wasn't Harry that they wanted to hurt. It was Peter. The rat that she asked Fred and George about.
"It's not Harry!" Lillian bursted out. It was sort of funny as she saw the looks of the men. "It's scabbers... er Peter Petigrew."
"Well... I can see she took after Lilly," Sirius muttered. "Come out Peter... come out and play." The rat twits violently in Rons hands as he struggles to escape. The wands of the two men were instantly thrown out of the men's hands.
"Father..." Lillian spoke as she saw his face shine through the moon light. Her heart broke as she saw the others wands in her fathers hands.
"Ah Vengeance is sweet... How I hoped I'd be the one to catch you." He spoke, smile pure joy on his face. "I told Dumbledore you were helping your old friend into the castle. And here's the proof." He walked toward them, still grinning like a fool. Lillian could feel her heart breaking even more.
" Brilliant! And as usual dead wrong. Now give us our wands back. Remus and I have a bit of unfinished business to tend to," Sirius spoke, shaking his head. Snape put his wand under the chin of Sirius. Lillian slowly stood up, her dirtied face being cleaned by tears.
"Don't be a fool Severus,"Lupin spoke with a small sigh. Lillian let a small sniffle out. "Look at your daughter..."
"Snape can't help but be a fool, it's a habit by now," Sirius spoke with a snide grin.
"Quiet Sirius," Lupin added. Snape went back to his rough exterior. He was holding back, anger racing through his blood.
" Listen to you two. Quarreling like an old married couple. The creature and the criminal." He spoke, with a growl. Lillian grabbed her fathers robe, trying not to let any more sobs escape. "Witty as ever I see. Tell me, will you be so irreverent when I turn you over to the Dementors? Do I detect a flicker of fear? One can only imagine what it must be like to endure the Dementor's Kiss. It's said to be unbearable to witness. But I'll do my best." Snapes eyes harder before turning to his broken daughter. Shaking his head, and picking her up like a rag doll. "After you." Harry grabbed his wand, and pointed it at snape. He had forgotten about his sister at the moment, and spoke.
"Expelliarmus!" He called, sending the two flying. This had knocked both Lillian and Snape Unconscious.
