Trees sway as the sound of rumbling and storm occurs outside the school premises.

Xiao, on the other hand, eyes outside the window feeling at peace while the professor is lecturing their class.

"Mr. Padilla. Are you listening?" The prof exclaimed earning Xiao's attention.

Xiao's gaze went up to him as he muttered a "yes", a sigh leaving his lips.

School. Why does he have to go here?

He placed his palm on his cheeks as he stare blankly at their professor.

Minutes later, the alarm rang yet only a few students went out. The sound coming from the speaker earned a "yey" from his classmate.

"Attention all students and personnel of Genshin High. Our classes today are suspended, please let the students go home early as a storm has been announced 3 in the afternoon. Thank you."

"Guess we'll call it a day. Don't forget to do your homework, class... Class dismissed." The professor sighed as he arranged his lesson plan.

The room went chaos as chairs and bags have been dragged. Xiao stood up pulling his hood to his forehead as he head for the door.

"Mr. Padilla. Don't go yet." His professor suddenly muttered. "I want to have a word with you."

Xiao looked at him curiously. "What is it, Mr. Lee?"

"Sit down." Mr. Lee said.

Xiao can't help but sigh as he head and grab a seat, sitting in front of his professor.

Drenched as he walks on the pavement, Xiao can't help but think about what his professor said a while ago.

"Mr. Padilla. I've noticed you have been busy with your thoughts lately, may I know what you're thinking?" Mr. Lee worriedly asked.

Xiao stood silent as he fiddled with his fingers.

"I don't like that behavior, Mr. Padilla. Speak up."

"I... It's nothing..." He replied.

"I know there's something, Mr. Padilla..." He sighed. "Anyways. Regarding your scores in the recent activities. I'm... very disappointed of you."

Xiao looked up as he scrunched his eyebrows yet later then went calm. "I know."

"You're one of the tops, Xiao. Work for it again. You may now go home."

Meters away from his home, the sound of his parents arguing can already be heard.

He sighed deeply as he open the door heading directly to his room as he locks himself. He doesn't want to hear from his parents anymore. It's always like this. Arguments. Non-stop. The rain hasn't stopped yet either.

He took off his hoodie as he sat down on his bed. Screw wet pants. He's damn exhausted.

His head fell down the pillow as he close his eyes.

"THEN WHY DID YOU KISS HER, RONALD?! YOU CHEATED RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME AND NOW YOU'RE DENYING EVERYTHING?!"

"I DIDN'T KISS HER!"

Xiao grunted. His eyes shot open as he grit his teeth. He just wanted peace but peace was never an option.

He stared at the pills on his bedside table. Sleeping pills to be exact.

He held it as he took a pill and drink it.

Immediately after he had taken a pill, he doze off despite the noise of his parent's arguments happening outside his room.
