Emma's PoV •

Today was just another day at crappy school, but at least I had some classes with Cameron today. Cameron's been my best friend since day one of high school and I could tell he always had a thing for me but unfortunately for him, my crush was his friend Nash.

Nash was perfect in my eyes, he was a douchebag but I look past that and see an amazing person.

I walked up to the gates of my school where me and Cameron would meet every morning.
"Hey boo" Cameron said, I loved when he called me boo.
"Hey sweet thang! you look nice today who you tryna impress" I replied
"Pfft, I always look this good"
I just responded with a giggle. He was so full of himself but why wouldn't he be, I mean he is a great guy.

Me and Cameron walked into our first class which was physics, we sat in our seats right at the back of the class. I loved these seats cause I was just in the right position to see Nash who sat in the middle of the classroom. Class had started and Nash wasn't here yet, I started to think maybe he was sick and wouldn't come in but about 10 minutes later he walked in.
"Mr Grier, please tell me why you're so late" Mr Eagle, our teacher' boomed out in a stern voice.
"Well sir, it takes time to look this good you know" he smirked.
All the girls would drool over him but I kept my crush a bit more discreet. Something was different about him today, he ignored all the girls pleading for his attention and stared right at me. He gave me a cute smile and proceeded to his seat.

"Omg Cameron did you see that! He smiled at me" I whisper squealed, grabbing his arm almost fangirling over this small display of kindness from Nash.
"Yes I saw Emma, you should get over Nash. I know he's my friend but he's a player, he'll never treat you as good as somebody else could" Cameron whispered back with annoyance in his voice.
"Cam, I know you don't like the fact I like him but it's just a bit of a crush I mean it's not like I'm in love with him" I said.
The rest of the class was pretty boring, all that happened was Mr Eagle talked and talked about some random stuff that nobody would actually understand. At the end of the class Mr Eagle explained that we were going to start a project in partners, so I instantly though I'd go with Cameron.
"I'll be choosing the partners for this project" and with him saying that, I got annoyed. I always get stuck with somebody I can't stand and I end up doing all the work. "Cameron I'd like you to work with Jake, Stephanie you're working with Taylor, Emma you'll be working with Nash..."
Oh my effing God. Finally I get a good partner!!!
As the teacher said this Nash turned and gave me that cute smile again and my heart just melted. Once class was over I walked to my next class, as I was walking I heard Nash come up to me
"Hey, so seen as we're doing this project together we should probably meet up and get some stuff done. Meet me at the gates after school and we'll go to my place"
I couldn't get any words out so I just gave him a nervous smile and he pat me on the shoulder and walked off. All day I couldn't stop thinking about doing this project with Nash, I zoned out in all my classes thinking about it.
The bell rang for the end of the day and I rushed to the gates to meet Nash.
