Genda never liked being like the other people.

However, he couldn't find any creative ideas for a date. Everything seemed so overrated or, on the contrary, too weird. Koujirou didn't want to go for a stupid walk or picnic on the first date with his boyfriend. He didn't want to go to the theatre or cinema as well. He just wanted to talk with Jirou as much as he can.

His head was empty for so long. Finally, he decided to ask for help.

"Sakuma Himari. We have a problem," said Koujirou right after his friend picked up her phone.

"I guess it's just you who have a problem," she mumbled. "You woke me up."

"I'm sorry," said Genda automatically. He wasn't sorry at all, they both knew it.

"Anyway, is it about your date?" asked Himari, while yawning. "Jirou started to like cats more only because of you, use this information. And tell him he should stop spending so much time with my cat," she said.

The goalkeeper laughed. "Thank you. Anything else?"

"Food. I dunno, something basic will be probably enough. Going for a walk should be fine as well." Himari sighed, thinking if she could add anything else. "Don't expect me to say much, we're not really close right now," she murmured, hoping her friend won't say anything about it.

"I'm so sorry," said Genda. He could say something more but he knew that Himari wouldn't like it. "Thank you for help, I'll try to figure something out."

"Sure," answered Sakuma before she hung up.

Everything was still much too obvious. Actually, Genda already knew everything Himari told him, he just didn't want to be seen as mean or ungrateful.

So he went back to thinking about all the ideas. It only took a few minutes - after that time he received a text message. "Cat island," it said.

"wdym," typed Genda while checking it online. "But it's almost 1000 km away from Tokyo," he added after a while.

"There's another one near to tokyo dummy," Himari texted him back very quickly. "I can lend you some money btw. before you say anything, i'm the one who makes money here, not you."

"I can't say no, right?"

"Exactly."

Their conversation ended after this message. At that moment, Koujirou didn't think much - he was just so thankful for having such a brillant friend.

The road to the island was passing calmly. Sakuma enjoyed the view from the boat a lot. He was looking at the water for the whole time without saying anything. Walking around the island was quite restful too - Jirou seemed so excited, even if he wasn't a cat-obsessed person in this company.

Genda wanted to talk with him, but suddenly he had no idea how to start. He was so happy to be Sakuma's boyfriend, to spend time with him and to be with him in general, but he didn't know how to communicate with him in that moment. Even if some things hadn't changed, he started to worry a bit. He would never have thought something like this would make him feel stressed. And yet, he felt anxious. Everything because besides being Koujirou's boyfriend, Sakuma was also his best friend.

"I've been in such places several times as a kid," said Jirou softly at one point. He gently patted the ginger cat which had just jumped on his lap, trying to avoid Genda's eyes.

"That sounds great... Unluckily, I found out about their existence recently," admitted the goalkeeper, unexpectedly getting closer to the younger one.

" R-Really?" asked Sakuma, shuddering a bit. "Well... To be honest, I didn't like these trips."

"Why?"

"I used to dislike cats," he explained. "As you can see, some things have changed after a few years."

"Interesting." After saying that, Koujirou laughed. "Any reasons?" he added after a while, carefully patting the head another cat. He loved how fluffy it was.

"Not really...?" mumbled Sakuma, looking away for a moment.

Koujirou laughed once again and then lay down on the ground. He didn't even notice it, but after Jirou started talking, he began to feel more comfortable step by step, word by word. At that point, everything seemed so dumb - how could he even think that Sakuma would stop liking him because of one little thing? They had been friends for years. it was a facilitation, not an obstacle.

"What are you actually doing?" asked the younger one, looking at Koujirou a bit confused.

"Exactly what you see," answered Genda, pulling his boyfriend to lie down next to him. He was still holding his hand, gently stroking the top of it with his thumb.

"Makes a lot of sense," admitted Sakuma, smiling slightly.

"I really love you Jirou," said Koujirou quietly after a while. Sakuma just covered his face with another hand, sighing deeply. He couldn't say anything concrete at first, so he just gripped his boyfriend's hand tighter.

"Love you too," he finally muttered, hugging his boyfriend delicately.
