Chapter 1: New Job

Male reader's POV: 

It was a cold, dark night, and as I was washing my face, I suddenly got a call from someone. I then quickly dried up my face, went to my phone, and answered it. 

You: "Hello, who is this?"

My boss sighs

Boss: "Hello to you too, sir. It is me, your boss. I have some bad news I need to share with you. I am sorry if this is a bad time but it is important."

You: "What's the bad news, sir?"

I hear him sigh again and take a deep breath through the phone.

Boss: "I am really sorry to inform you but the company and I have decided to let you go. We know you are a hard worker but-"

I quickly hung up the phone, not wanting to hear another word of what my former boss had to say. I fell to my knees as I felt the tears starting to pour down my eyes. I worked so hard just for that job, and I needed money due to the sudden increase in my rent; That job was my only income in money, so I had nothing to acquire money from due to all my failed attempts in the majority of the work places that were in my city. Shortly after I had my little breakdown, I wiped the tears off my face, got up, walked to my couch in the living room, and turned on the TV, putting on my favorite show to distract myself from the predicament I was in. I was already starting to lose hope of paying my rent from what happened while I was watching my favorite show but then my favorite show was interrupted by an ad about how the Pizzaplex was hiring for a new daycare helper right now and if anybody came there now then there was a big chance of getting the job. I quickly turned off the TV right when the ad ended. I quickly rushed to get my shoes and jacket on. I grabbed my keys and my work bag which had everything I needed at all times before quickly heading out.

 When I finally got to the Pizzaplex I went straight to an employee and asked,

You: "Where do I go for the Job application?"

 they pointed in the direction of where I was supposed to go while not even looking up at me or saying a word. I awkwardly thank them before heading that way. When I got to the room and opened the door, I saw that I was the only one who had come for the Job application which was shocking because of how popular the Pizzaplex is and how it has a well-known reputation of being a good place to work. I walked to a chair and sat down. After that, I sat down while waiting for a long time before finally hearing a lady call me in. I got up and walked into the room she was in. I sat down as she signaled to me to sit down. The lady spoke a mere few words.

The interviewer: "Hello, sir. It is nice to meet you. My name is Karen but I go by Miss K."

You: "It is very nice to meet you too, Miss K. I heard you guys were hiring for a daycare helper so I rushed here as soon as I could."

Miss K: "That's great to hear. You are actually the first one here to come for the job. Now, you can just give me your papers and we can get started." 

I nodded as I handed all of the papers and documents she needed that I had got from my bag.

Miss K: "Wow, I am surprised you have everything we need. No one really comes here all prepared." 

I chuckled a bit upon hearing this, as it was a bit amusing to hear how shocked she was to see me prepared.

Miss K: "Okay. Well, let me read all of this before I begin to interview you, sir."
