"A...date?"
You nodded, immediately regretting your boldness. This might be a dream, but he still felt so real.
"Uh...I mean...only if you want to..."
Bakugo stared at you for a second. At a loss for words. He never imagined you'd ask him for a date! He didn't even know you had feelings for him.
That's what this means right?
But she thinks it's a dream. So she thinks I won't know.
And I can't tell her or she'll get scared and wake up. I need to find her.
What do I do? I don't want to lie to her.
But...
"You know what, we can just forget about it." You laughed nervously as you watched him struggle internally.
"No, no! I...I mean..." He stammered as he watched the hope drain from within you. Your shoulders now sunk and your eyes glued to the floor.
But of course he wanted this. He just didn't want it this way.
I have to do this. For her. To make her happy. To find her.
He carefully lifted your chin up with his hand, smiling gently. Everything about you, in this moment, was perfect.
If he could just see that smile of yours one more time.
"Of course I'll go on a date with you."
Your eyes sparkled. In your dreams, you felt more human. You looked that way too. The color returning to your face as you cheeks shaded over pink.
He felt so close to you. You could feel the warmth radiating off of him. His heart beat rhythmically putting you into a trance of his own. That smile. So soft. So rare.
He wanted to lean in so badly. Temptation dancing along those lips. But he restrained. Because he had a mission. He couldn't distract himself. He had to play along.
But was he really just playing along?
"So what did you have in mind?"
You looked around. You weren't even sure what you could do in your own dreams like this. You squeezed your eyes shut and imagined one of your favorite places to go.
Images started appearing all around the two of you. Bakugos eyes widened. It was amazing, beautiful. Stars lit up the sky, the sounds of laughter, screams, and games began to fill the air. The smell of cotton candy, popcorn, and funnel cake filling your senses.
"A carnival?"
You opened your eyes to take in what you created. You were surprised at the detail you remembered this place.
"Wow. I didn't think that would work."
The two of you stood there in the middle of carnival rides and games. The neon lights illuminating the night.
Bakugo glanced back at you. His heart skipping a beat the moment he saw the sparkles in your eyes. Your face was completely lit up.
"I can't believe this worked," you giggled. "I can't believe we're here!"
You began running off, the world you dreamed of building as you go. You laughed childishly and joyfully as you perfected each detail of this memory.
"Hey, wait up!" Bakugo raced after you. Your childlike wonder affecting him strongly as he couldn't contain a small chuckle from escaping his lips.
He found you stopped in front of a large roller coaster. You seemed to be questioning whether you should get on or not.
"Everything ok?" He asked.
