Here Comes Trouble

Zack entered the Bar quietly, he opened the door and closed it carefully, however, he failed as the owner of the bar was sitting near the entrance reading a newspaper, but Jed didn't seem to notice him, which at that moment he used this opportunity to sneak but he fell. A loud thud came from the entrance, Jed put his newspaper down as he saw the boy resting on the ground with his face facing the floor.

"There you are, I've been waiting for you!" the grown man stood up from his seat, walking towards his employee and helping him get up, "Your shift started like fifty minutes ago! where have you been?"

Zack brushed his body off, he got a little bit wet because apparently, the floor is still wet and he got caught in an unfortunate accident. "I woke up late and Ellie took my bike."

"Oh, hush you! get to the back and be ready, you should be thankful because there aren't many customers coming while you're gone."

"Gotcha pops." He saluted then walked straight to the back, took off his jacket, and put on his apron. He then started his shift, with Jed handling the bar. A couple of customers came and ordered food, while the other came and ordered alcohol, needless to say, he handled it pretty well because he loved to cook.

"Zack, can you take care of the bar? I need to go out for a bit." The manager entered the kitchen asking for help,

"Sure, besides, there ain't many customers left right?"

"Yeah, Eleanor wants to talk about the Festival's decoration so it's not gonna take long, probably."

"Okay then, I'll handle it, be safe pops." As Jed leave, he walked out of the kitchen to handle the bar. Not many customers came in but he saw familiar faces come to order, while Zack's on the shift, they tend to get Fried Chicken or his cheeseburger. Some people said that his fried chicken looks and tastes different from the others but in reality, it's just a normal chicken and people usually ordered it when they're drunk.

With everything finished and all orders are pretty much done, he opened his phone to see MyBlock, a social media that people of Haven used. Much to him using his phone, he suddenly heard the front door open,

"Look who's here, Haven's own Gordon Ramsay!" Gabe said, from across the bar table with his sister by his side,

"Shut up." Zack laughed, "Now that you're both here, how about a shot of vodka?" He grabbed a bottle of Grey Goose and pour it onto three glasses of shots, which he later gave to Alex and her brother,

"For Alex!"

"For me!" The three of them cheered, drinking the shots, and the three of them smiled.

He then grabbed the shot glass and put it away, "Welcome to the Black Lantern Al. How may I help you both?" Zack smiled at both of them,

"Oh, me and Alex are gonna go upstairs, give her the tour of el casa del Gabe," Gabe leaned on the bar table, "Besides, words on the street said that you're gonna do a barbeque at Ellie's tonight..."

"Ooh barbeque, can't wait."

"More like can't happen because that's a lie," Zack assured both of them, "But for Alex, maybe I could arrange it for tonight."

"for Alex? what about Gabe? Ryan or Steph?" Gabe raised one of his eyebrows,

"as In For Alex's arrival, I could arrange it. capiche?"

"Now you're speaking to me."

"Oh yeah, I wasn't sure she was your sister until I introduced myself."

"Must've been a hell of a name isn't it?"
