Memories. Part 2
Albi hadn't heard from G18 in a while. His posts on Facebook had dropped to a low and people were always typing stuff on his wall but he never replied. Side thought it was strange but couldn't do anything. He loved the guy. G18 was one of his best friends, yeah they never spoke but Albi still called him a best friend. A person who would be always in his heart. He had gone his separate ways like the others and had gone to college. Partying, playing sports and working hard in game making. He celebrated when his soccer team won and when his essays got high marks.
Albi often heard from Speedy and his girlfriend as they came down and visited because sometimes Speedy liked coming home. Side also heard from D20 and Deluxe 4 as they'd ring up and chatter away like nothing had changed. But things had changed.
Side had become confident when leaving for college as he met new people who didn't know anything about him. He met some lovely people whom he hopes he would be friends with 20 years down the line. Albi had met a beautiful girl who he was happy with.
But G18 disappearing of the map was bugging him. He loved seeing his posts about the new place he was visiting. He learnt from G18 a lot of things and it always made him happy when there was a new picture of a beautiful lake featuring a picture of Ethan. He liked seeing how G18 had changed since they stopped playing games together. When he first met G he was just a young man, like Side himself at the time. In the pictures, G had brown hair which was hidden under a hat in cold temperatures and was wild and messy in windy climates. Shorts were worn in some destination and jumpers in others.
These pictures made Side smile, they were gorgeous. But, that day were Albi found out why Ethan wasn't posting any more. It broke him.
Albi was spending the day with his girlfriend she was smiling and giggling at things Albi and his friends were saying. They where at a restaurant near the beach after spending most of their day in the ocean. It was a calming afternoon which they were all happy for. A memory to be shared.
Albi's phone had rang just before their main meal.
"Hello, Is this Albi?" A woman had asked, pain laced in her voice.
"Yes it is, may I ask who's calling?" Albi replied looking strangely at his friends.
"I don't know if you remember me. I'm Ethan's mom."
"Oh. Hi. Yeah I remember." Albi spoke remembering the time he when to G18's for his birthday, where he had met Ethan's family.
"I have some horrible news."

As Albi looked on from the row he was sat at he could see Ethan's family members crying. His own tears streaming down his face. Around the church, other crew members also sat with their heads in their hands wondering why G18 would do this.
Ethan's casket was at the front, with flowers all around. A picture of Ethan was on top of the closed coffin. A happy picture. A picture from his 21st birthday, where all crew members attended. A good night from what Albi could remember.
When the ceremony ended the 8 boys stood in a group together by G18's grave. All wishing they weren't standing next to their friend's lifeless body resting place. Each of them held a letter, written in beautiful handwriting. Each letter containing a goodbye and a thank you for all the laughs. Each smudged with tears from the boy who wrote them. Each letter ending with 'I love you, don't forget that.'
