CHAPTER 1: HISTORY

"History is written by the victors" a statement that I've always thought about whenever and wherever I am. I always think that if the history we knew was written by the victors, how were we expect to believe what we had read in the history book or what the teacher had told us. And it's to the point I wonder, "What if, the losers could also tell their stories? The history we knew wouldn't be biased. What if...".

And before I could finish those thoughts, a flying marker swiftly hitting my forehead waking me up.

Mrs. Marry : "You've been day dreaming again haven't you Cameron"

said Mrs. Mary as she shook her head.

Cameron :"ugh... yes ma'am, I am so sorry" as I sighed.

Mrs Marry: "Humph! Next time please do listen to what I tried to teach you in class, attending this school is already a blessing let alone studying in this class with one of the best teachers in Equina"

she said with a sassy attitude.

Cameron :"yes ma'am..."

It was the third time I had been phasing out in Mrs. Marry's class again. I mean to be fair the reason I slept in her class is due to how annoyingly she tells the history of Enokstra. You know what, I bet I could do even better!

Enokstra is the world we live in that is filled with many wonders such as magic, alchemy, machines, and much more. But before the land was filled with such wonders it was filled with chaos. No nation, no rules, no mercy, only war and it was horrible. well I don't really know how horrible it was, but I assume if you lived in that era you might want to prepare to see bunch of innocent people and children used as weapons, workers, or worse executed if they're useless. But one day, a meteorite hit Enokstra and caused the world to a pause for a decade.

The reason being the people all over Enokstra is either in a catatonic state' or if they were unlucky, aged within seconds then cease to exist. Some bright minds managed to find a way to hold the power within the meteorite. But unfortunately only one of the bright minds managed to hold the power which now historian such as Mrs. Mary called The Time Keeper or what I would like to call Time keep since it's shorter. I would have called The Time Keeper as Timmy but it felt disrespectful so yeah.

Time Keep has the power to control time either he went to the past and future, made things and people including it-self aged quickly, and so on. Basically it can control time hence the name. Because of this the power from the Time Keeper was transferred to Enokstra soil making Enokstra normal again while the people all over made a truce. Since the people back then lived in groups, they asked the time keep to become the leader but they refused the offer. But it made a treaty called Testament of Enokstra, with this treaty the people of Enokstra were tasked with building each and every one of their own societies that they arranged themselves. Therefore, democracy itself could be built with trust, bonds, and so much more.

And so Orthodoxia was built so to Equina, though I wouldn't prefer this academy however *sigh*. Timelane Academy, one of the best academy in Enokstra. Yeah you heard me, I study in one of the best academies in the land. But don't let the title best academy fool you. most of the time we were just given task like unpaid workers rather as a student since the policy of the academy here is that we could be given task if there is no Upholder. But since a lot of Upholder is the student of Timelane. most of the time I also got tasked to do things without anything in return. at least give me an A in combat class or something. Anyway an Upholder is a person who graduated from an Academy in order to do tasks for their own states. Those task could be anything from hunting Beasts, Recon, Search and Rescue, Catching criminal, and so on. But Upholders could apply as anything they desire but if they do so, they will stick being the one they picked like becoming the police for the state or joined the army.
