Dream's POV;

Another nice, fresh morning. A perfect day to go out for a walk.

HAH, SHIT. I'M STAYING AT THE LAB AND DOING WHAT I USUALLY DO HAHAHAA

It was time to check on George now. I put on my freshly washed lab coat and went into the experiment room.

...he...he's not there.

This worried me. I never liked it when a subject was suddenly missing from its place. And now? It was horrible! Just right after I got him back, he's somewhere out again.

I took a closer look at the leftovers. Some blood, occasionally some blonde hair.... blonde hair?

Philza.

Oh time man... I swear if you took my subject away from me, I'm gonna kill the both of you.

Quickly, I rushed around the lab, looking if they're in any of the rooms. There were no more clues on the way, goddamn.

I opened the door to the bathroom....

"HAAAH?!"

George laid in the tub with a damn large merman tail! My jaw almost dropped at the sight of that. Mostly, it was so glittery.... the color was beautiful. He reminded me of a seadeer I once saw on pictures.

The tub was filled with water all the way up and he was quietly sleeping. Phil was leaning on the side of the tub, also sleeping. I think I shouldn't do anything with them at all.... he might've just been looking for help and Phil took him into the water.

I slowly walked up to them, looking closely at what my creation has done with the small one's body. Wow... it felt like a real damn fish, touching that tail.

That was when George started waking up. He lifted his tail and flopped it back down, rubbing his eyes with his webbed hands.

It was cute, watching him wake up. He was cute in general.

"Gah!" he gasped out when he saw me. He tried to lift himself, but just splashed water all around. Some of it landed onto Phil's head. He shot up and looked at George, then at me, realising the problem.

"Back off! You're not touching George anymore!" he stood up with a pocket knife.

"Alright, alright, I won't touch him. But he needs to get into a bigger source of water," I explained to him. He seemed to have calmed down a bit, but still stood his ground.

"Where.... I'm gonna carry him myself there," he death stared at me.

"Take him, I'll lead you."

Not very satisfied, he put the knife back into his belt and carefully picked George up. Either he weakened or the little one has not been so light anymore. Yeah, I think that was the reason. He was struggling with the tail a little and I worried he would hurt him more than necessary.

I just decided to try and ignore it. I walked back into the experiment room and entered a code, revealing a quite of aquarium in the floor. It was deep and big enough, so he better not complain or he's getting a fish tank.

"How to get him in there?" he asked, holding George as much as he could to not let him slip.

To that I just pulled away a wooden box that served as a seat and sometimes a small table. It had an entrance into the water. How simple.

We tried to get him in before he'd dry out, but his tail just seemed to be way too big. Or I was too gentle..?

"I'll try it myself.. put me on the floor," George spoke up, letting go of Phil. He hesitantly put him on the floor, staying close by in case he needed it.

Problem solved smoothly. He pulled himself towards the hole and slipped in, even with the tail. I turned on the lights in the water so he could see around, get used to his surroundings ect.

"I and everyone else will make sure you die the most brutal way if you hurt him," Phil warned. He turned around and went back towards the cage.

My little merman swam around slowly, often looking up at me. No wonder when I was watching him all the time.

I liked how all that turned out. I thought the reaction would be different, but this is still so good that I can't say a no to it. Most importantly I..think I liked George. He was small and sweet, gentle..

I sat down on the floor, putting my hand down. I hoped he could swim up to me and put his hand on the glass, because that would just be so sweet.

He looked up at me, watching what would I do. Then he swam closer and studied my palm.. and lightly put his two fingers on the glass.

Unfortunately I'd have to break this sweetness. I got up and walked over to the door, slipping into the water. I didn't like holding my breath, but this was necessary. Quickly making my way over to George, I grabbed him and force-pulled him back up. It was hard and he struggled, but I had to do what needed to be done.

"N-No please!" he begged when I tied him to the table again. I looked down at the floor, re-thinking my life. God why..

"Deal with it, George. This is where you are now, I can't just stop my experiments because you beg me to."

I took another syringe filled with a substance, making my way over to him. He cried but seemed to have accepted his fate. It was painful. I sighed and stabbed his other vein, injecting it in.

He closed his eyes and tried to ignore the pain. This time I decided I would at least cover up the little hole I left in his skin. I sticked a little patch to the place, putting away the syringe and leaving him behind once more.

>> I apologize for the shorter chapter this time. I just wasn't sure how to make it longer with this topic on the line. I promise some smuttier chapters will be a little save for these shorter ones. If y'all want it like that, of course ;)

Also I published the chapter a little sooner on accident before ő_ő

Anyway, here's a picture of a Seadeer from Avakin Life. <<
