Authors Note: Before you being the final part of this story, I just want to say a few quick things. First of all, it took me so long to write this because I wanted it to be perfect. I kept writing an rewriting, and reediting. I couldn't quite figure out why a certain part of it wasn't working out too well. But after it got all sorted, the rest of the last part just flowed really well. So I really hope you guys love this. It is the longest chapter on here, I'm pretty sure. Please let me know what you guys think of it in the comments. I want to thank all of the readers who have read this story and I hope will read this story and love it just as much as I loved writing it. It is one of my pride and joy stories, and the end is finally here. I give you, the final part to this wonderful When Calls the Heart story.

Jack slowly opened his eyes and took in his surroundings. There was no one else in the room with him. Who could have possibly spearheaded this, and kidnapped him? He could feel the swelling at his eye and could barely keep it open long at a time. He looked down at his shoulder, and saw it was bandaged over the bullet wound he had. They'd fixed him up? He had a view of a window across the room from him, but by the looks of the outside wilderness, he knew that he was miles away from Fort Clay. He thought of Elizabeth and their son. He ached to hold her in his arms. He longed to hold his son and spend time with him. He forced himself not to think about those things just yet. He had to find a way to escape and bring this man down.

He looked toward the door when he heard it open. He still couldn't tell who this man was. His voice sounded familiar in a way, but he couldn't think why. "Ah, look who's awake," the man said. It was killing Jack not knowing who this man was. The familiarity was more potent this time, but for some reason, he still couldn't figure it out. He thought of all the men that he had come in contact with, the ones that he put away. He assumed that this was one of them. It would only make sense why he was kidnapped. This man was dressed in dark heavy clothing, with a long, matted beard and hair. His eyes were dark like there were things about him that made him afraid to ask. But he started out with the obvious.

"Who are you?" Jack asked.

"That's the second time you've asked me that question. You sure you don't recognize me?" The man took a seat across the room and pulled out a knife and piece of stone and started sharpening it.

"Your voice sounds familiar, but I honestly don't know who you are," Jack replied.

"Well, let's see if I can help jog your memory. Last time we saw each other, you threw me from a horse and sent me to jail after trying to steal a certain woman's heart. I slipped up and she found me out, but you," the man said, pointing his knife at Jack. "You saw right through me from the very start."

Jack furrowed his brows in astonishment. "Hamilton? Billy Hamilton?"

"I go by Will, now. Billy is just too innocent."

"What happened to you?" Jack started to see if he could maneuver the ropes that bound him to loosen so that he might break free.

Will laughed. "Oh, lots of things." He continued to sharpen his knife as he talked. "I shared a cell block with none other than Nate Tolliver. He looked out for me while other bigger men used to gang up on me, but me being the conman I am, I had a way with words and for some reason, Tolliver took to liking me. Before Tolliver escaped, we got to talking about you and we vowed to one another that if we ever got out, we would fight like hell to find you and put you in the ground. During his escape from prison, he was headed for my cell to bust it open when he heard the guards come. I told him to leave. Find you, kill you, and then send word that it was done. I never received a note from him and that was almost a year ago." Will stopped sharpening and looked at Jack with dead eyes. "I guess he failed."
