The world was at a stand still, the world was peaceful, not a single thing could disturb the beautiful world. Unless you sucked at chemistry.
“ Kuroo, I’m sorry I don’t understand chemistry enough for you,”They whined at the bed head ridden boy, he just raised an eyebrow at them in exhaustion.
“Well i’m sorry that i’m confused at the fact that you don’t seem to understand basic knowledge” he sighs stares down at the textbook and his notes, “alright let's start with something simple we both know that chemical substances and processes are essential for our basic existence, well pulling off that we can see throughout human history people have tried to convert matter into more useful forms. Like in the stone age, they would chip pieces of flint into useful tools and carved wood into statues and toys. This basic example involved changing the shape of a substance without changing the substance itself.”Kuroo looks up expecting his friend to be writing or even just plainly nodding in confusion like they usually did but instead they were just intently staring at one of the pictures of atoms, molecules, or ions.
Kuroo just sighed and stared at them and study their stupid pretty face, their hair framed them just enough to cover their ears, his eyes got caught on the bouncy curls that seemed to contrast their pale skin. The light freckles that seemed to litter their face, seemed to be the perfect fit with their greenish eyes. He also loved the way their face looked when concentrating on something, like now they always had a small pout on their face when thinking about anything related to school, no matter the subject. Which always led to Kuroo teasing them about using their head a little too much or seeing the steam coming out of their head. He slowly started to realize if he even wanted to continue helping them he would have to get their attention, smirking he realized he could have a bit of fun with it.
“Hey (Y/N),” Kuroo says, which piques their attention. “You know according to the Second Law of Thermodynamics, you are supposed to share your hotness with me.” They turned their head at me in confusion.
“What's a thermodynamic,” the question seems to send Kuroo into a coughing fit of confusion.
“YOU SERIOUSLY DON'T KNOW WHAT A THERMODYNAMIC IS.”
“I'M TRYING MAN,” they screamed back at him.
“WELL TRY HARDER” Kuroo screeched. Making a pouty. face at him caused Kuroo to just sigh and think of another stupid pick up line. “Hm you know we should just forget hydrogen, because you’re my number one element.”
“Aww, okay that’s cute but who are you gonna use it on, lemme guess that girl who sits next to you and Yaku,” they said with a small smile. Kuroo just gaped at the person in front of him that seemed to be the most dense person alive.
“Are you serious? I hate her. She chews gum like a maniac, who chews like a cow,” Kuroo says with a glare thinking about the girl that never seemed to go a day without gum.
“Well isn’t that a bit harsh, you don’t even know her that well probably”(Y/N) mumbles. Kuroo rolls his eyes at them.
“Well you must be made of uranium and iodine because all I can see is U and I together,” smirking the bedhead was truly believing that he finally got the point across alas, he did. His friend just tilted their head to the side and wondered what his friend meant.
“Hey what did you mean by tha-”
“OH MY GOD CAN I JUST KISS YOU” Kuroo yelled, cutting off the other, both their cheeks reddening in the process. Kuroo not believing his own mouth betrayed him, while the person across from him was just processing what was said.
“Oh um,” they mumbled.
“Oh lord please ignore I um-,” Kuroo quickly got cut off by a pair of soft lips, his eyes widened and slowly leaned in to reciprocate the kiss. But, just as soon as it started it stopped.
“Uh bye,” his friend mumbled before leaving with his bag. Kuroo just waved before touching his lips with a smile, oh how he was going to brag about this as soon as he could.
