And done. The pastry chef thought happily as she packaged the finished cake she decorated. Baking was a passion of her and a way to release her stress and express her creativity. After the last order was sent to their client, she dismissed her employees.

Last night, Hinata couldn't sleep because of the situation she put herself in. At first the Hyuga girl believed that she will raise her son by her own without any support, after all she never expected to encounter the father of her child. Everything is surreal.

At least Boruto experiences the life that he always dreamed of. She thought with a smile. The thought of her son being happy and spending time with his father made her smile until she got startled by the sound of the bells, which meant that a customer has entered the shop.

"I am sorry, but we are already closed-.."

She froze and was surprised by the sudden visit of a familiar person, who she hasn't seen for years.

"Hello, Hinata."

"Tenten-.." Hinata couldn't finish her sentence, because of the sudden hug that she received from that person.

"I missed you. No actually we missed you. I am sorry for interfering, but I just wanted to pay you a visit. After all we haven't heard anything about you." Tenten said.

Five years have passed since she heard about them, her family. The only person who remained to even l keep in touch with her was her sister-in-law Tenten yet they never got the opportunity to meet physically due to their hectic schedule and her cousin's disapproval.

Due to her giving birth to an illegitimate child her family labelled her as a disgrace, particularly her father. No one from her relatives has ever met her son, except for Tenten, who accompanied her through her pregnancy journey and birth. However, Boruto doesn't probably recognise her.

"It is great to see you again. Would you like to drink or eat something?" Hinata asked her.

"No thanks, I have already eaten besides the bakery is already closed." Tenten giggled.

"N-No.. I mean yes the shop is closed, but for you it is an exception." The Hyuga girl explained.

"It's alright, I am full. Unfortunately I won't be able to talk with you for that long, because I'll pick up Neji from his meeting. Anyways, how are you and Boruto?" She asked.

"We are both doing great and he is now four years old." Hinata giggled.

"Time is passing very fast. Anyways, I have some presents for you two." Her sister-in-law said and handled her a paper bag with gifts for her son and her. Hinata refuses to accept the presents until someone came inside which was her son and Naruto.

Tenten was surprised by the sudden visit just like Hinata.

"Mommy! Papa and I decided to pay you a surprise visit! Look what I drew today." Boruto exclaimed happily as she ran towards her his mother showing his drawing proudly. She could feel how Tenten was smirking at her.

Hinata smiled at her son.

"Hello Boruto." Tenten said and smiled at the child, "My name is Tenten. I am your mother's sister-in-law."

"Nice to meet you auntie!" Boruto smiled.

He is so adorable! Tenten thought and then took a glance at Naruto with a serious look. He noticed that this woman despised him.

"Jaa ne!" The brunette woman smiled and then left.

Half an hour has passed and her husband was still in his office. She was waiting in the lobby, since she did not want to disturb him in his meeting. The woman sighed in boredom and considered to give him a call until she heard his voice.

"Sorry for being late. There were some incompetent new interns and they didn't-.."

His wife interrupted with a sudden kiss and sighed, "Neji. Shut up and let's not talk about work."

He secretly rolled his eyes.

"By the way. I met Hinata and handled her the presents that you picked for them." Tenten told him.

"That's great to know. Did you meet her son?"

"Yes. He is an adorable toddler and looks a lot like his father." The brunette woman giggled and than put her arm around his.

"His father?" Neji raised an eye brow. After the family heard about Hinata's pregnancy it was big scandal that her father decided to disown her. Ever since that incident Neji started to develop a hatred towards the man who made his cousin pregnant.

"He was there as well. It seems like as if they reconciled. I am not sure if they are a couple, but it is the best for the child not to know about the past." Tenten said.

"Whatever. I don't want to hear about that man's existence. As long as my cousin and nephew are doing well, everything is fine." Her husband responded.

"Are you considering to pay them a visit? I am convinced that Hinata would be delighted if you visited her." His wife giggled.

"Probably. But not now."

"And then the..." the mother stopped reading the lullaby to her son as she heard him sleeping. She put the blanket properly on him and then quietly headed to the living room, but before leaving the room, Hinata took a glimpse. As she closed the door, the sound of dishes falling on the ground startled her.

"Sorry. I didn't meant to give you a fright."

"N-Naruto? I thought you have already left." Hinata whispered and looked at him. He was washing the dishes.

"I wanted to wash the dishes before I leave. I mean it would be fair, after all you cooked dinner." Naruto explained and was about to pick up Boruto's favourite plastic cup. However, just as he was about to pick it up, his head bumped into hers. She was also about to do the same action as him.

"Are you alright?"

"Y-Yes." She lied. His head was as hard as a rock. Their faces were closed to one another, which was uncomfortable for the single mother, so she said, "Anyways, it's already late. See you then."

He smiled lightly at her, "Yeah. See you then." She accompanied him to the door and just as he was about to leave, Hinata touched his arm.

"Thank you. I mean thank you for washing the dishes and being there for Boruto."

Just as she was about to sleep beside her son, she received a message from someone, who she didn't expect to.

It was her father.
