印度（兴都）教最高教皇，普世灵性导师 圣尊尼希亚南达 帕冉玛希瓦上师谈到圣典、灵修经书和文献的重要性以及如何对其进行分类。
用帕冉玛希瓦上师自己的话说：
''圣典是通往真理的最佳指南，它可以给你新的维度，可以改变你的思维方式，改变你的心理设置，它可以让你对世界、对生命和对神的看法完全不同。 Jiva、Ishwara和Jagat。Jiva的意思是自我。Ishwara的意思是神。 Jagat意为世界。你将对所有这三个真理有一个新的看法。如果你开始在智能上对这三者有一点点的理解，就可以改变你的一生。
