The next morning the couple was woken up by an unexpected knock on the door. It turned out to be Casey with a cart, carrying a tray of food. Casey decided to take the initiative to order breakfast for the couple, knowing that they might still be tired from their plane ride over. But as soon as the two was done eating, Ametsuchi had opened the door for their tour guide to enter. Kirishima, standing discreetly by the door, smiled at the scene of Alec helping Ben cleaning his mouth gently with a napkin. "If you are ready, we can begin our tour of the city. Tokyo has much to offer, and I have planned a day full of sights and experiences for you both." Benjamin turned to Alec, his eyes sparkling. "Are you ready?" Alec chuckled, pressing a kiss to Benjamin's temple. "Be patient, we still need to get showered and dressed ."
Benjamin pouted and got up "I know, I know" he says as he gets his clothes and leaving to the bathroom. "Excuse us for a moment, we'll be ready in a moment" Alec says grabbing some clothes as well. "Of course, we'll wait outside for you two" Kirishima politely smiles as he gestures for Casey to join him. Alec nods and quickly follows Ben into the bathroom to join him for a shower.
Their first stop was the Meiji Shrine, a peaceful oasis in the heart of the bustling city. As they walked through the massive torii gate, Benjamin felt a sense of calm wash over him. The towering trees and the quiet path leading to the shrine seemed to muffle the sounds of the city, creating a sanctuary where time moved more slowly. Alec held his hand, their fingers brushing against the wood of the prayer plaques as they admired the wishes and hopes of countless visitors.
Kirishima explained the significance of the shrine, his voice soft as he guided them through the history and traditions of the site. "The Meiji Shrine is dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his consort, Empress Shoken. It's a place of worship, reflection, and celebration." Benjamin watched as Alec tied a small wooden plaque to the offering stand, his head bowed in a silent prayer. When he returned, he smiled at Benjamin, who looked up at him questioningly.
"What did you wish for?" Benjamin asked, tilting his head.
Alec's smile widened, a rare and genuine expression of his deep affection. "That our journey together remains filled with love and joy." Benjamin blushed, feeling warmth spread through him, and whispered, "I wished the same."
Their next stop was Takeshita Street in Harajuku, a vibrant, bustling hub of youth culture and fashion. The narrow street was a riot of colors, with shops selling everything from kawaii clothing to quirky accessories, and cafes offering rainbow-colored sweets. Benjamin's eyes widened as they passed a store with neon signs and racks of brightly colored clothing. The energy of the place was infectious, and he couldn't help but grin. "Can we go in?" he asked, tugging on Alec's sleeve. Alec chuckled, nodding as he allowed himself to be pulled into the store. Kirishima and Casey waited outside, giving them some space. Benjamin immediately started browsing through the racks, holding up various outfits to Alec, who nodded or shook his head in response. It was a playful, light-hearted moment, a chance for them to indulge in the carefree joy of being newlyweds.
