The First Night

Tanjiro POV

After our lessons had ended for the day, all the first years made their way to their dorms. On the platform stood a huge man with tears coming out of his eyes.

Big Teacher
My Name is Himejima Gyoumei and I am your Dorm Administrator.After my announcement please check the board to see who you share a dorm room with. We guarantee comfort and safety for all of you and hope you enjoy your stay.

I headed to the board and looked for Nezukos name.

"Nezuko Kamado and Kanao Tsuyuri"

"I hope this "Kanao" girl treats Nezuko right"

I proceeded to look for my name until I spotted it

"Tanjiro Kamado and Inosuke Hashibira"

I wouldn't be able to imagine how I would be feeling of I hadn't befriended Inosuke in class before this. Having some random person, in a boar mask no less, just roaming around. I wasn't upset with the selection because it turned out that Zenitsu was right next door with some guy called Yushiro

Inosuke and I both put our stuff in the room and looked around. I looked towards Inosuke and smiled

Tanjiro
I look forward to staying with you, Inosuke!

Inosuke seemed to radiate happiness. I could sense warmth coming from him. He must've been just as excited as I was
Anyway we unpacked and rested.

(Time Skip)

We've just had dinner in the hall and are heading back to our rooms. I'm talking with Zenitsu and Inosuke

Inosuke
OI MONITSU!

Zenitsu
WHAT?!

Inosuke
WHY YOU SO DAMN STUPID

Zenitsu
WHO ARE YOU CALLING STUPID PIGHEAD??

Inosuke
YOU'RE RIGHT. YOU'RE NOT STUPID, YOU'RE DEAF CUZ YOU CLEARLY DIDNT HEAR ME CALL YOU STUPID

Zenitsu
SHUT UP OR ELSE I'LL-

Inosuke
WHAT? CRY TILL MY EARS BLEED?

Inosuke jumped at Zenitsu and he ran away, yelping

Zenitsu
TANJIRO SAVE MEEEE!!

I somehow managed to grab hold of Inosuke before he managed to do anything bad. Zenitsu clenched onto my jacket and thanked me nonstop. I giggled and headed indoors

Inosuke POV

Sharing a room with Monjiro isn't as bad as I thought. He respects my space and is caring plus he has a very nice smile. It makes me feel very warm inside

Me and Gonpachiro walked into our room. I immediately went to my bed and sat down. Kamaboko did the same.

Tanjiro
Well Goodnight Inosuke

He smiled at me and got into his blankets

(Time skip)

"It's 2am and I still can't sleep"

I stood up to get some water but I must've woken up Sanjiro in the process.

Tanjiro
I-Inosuke?

His voice was so soft and gentle

Inosuke
Oh? You're awake Monjiro?

Tanjiro
It's Tanjiro and I heard noises so I woke up. Why are you still awake?

Inosuke
Don't worry about Lord Inosuke. I just couldn't sleep.

Tanjiro
You wanna try sleeping in my bed. I saw somewhat it says you fall asleep better when right next to someone

I don't understand this feeling. My chest feels tight and my face feels hot. Am I sick? No I can't be. I'm perfect. Maybe I should just accept his offer.

I walk over to his bed and slide into his blankets. He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer to him

Tanjiro
Is this any better?

I simply nodded. For some reason I couldn't speak.

Tanjiro
Do you always sleep with your mask on?

Inosuke
Yeah. I wear it all the time

Tanjiro
It's a nice mask. Very sof-

I turned around to see Monjiro had fallen asleep. And so I followed him and fell asleep too
