"What do you guys think about a movie night?" Beomgyu asks and everyone agrees except for Soobin.

"Sorry I can't... I have plans with Y/n." Soobin rejects the offer packing his things.

The four boys looked at Soobin with confused but worried eyes.

Long story, his significant other died a year ago on their way back home to surprise him for their 5 years anniversary but they got into a car crash on their way home.

Sadly, they didn't make it. Since that day, Soobin hasn't been himself. He was hurt and still refused to believe that his loved one was dead.

All that was left of them was a necklace from their 3 year anniversary, and matching promise rings Y/n bought moments before the crash occurred.

Soobin was struggling to let go.

"Soobin hyung... they're gone." Hueningkai walks to Soobin in attempt to comfort him.

"N-No they're not! Y/n is still with us! " He tears up with the thought of his lover dying.

"Soobin... I know it's hard but it's been a year. You have to move on." Taehyun tries to help.

"It's not easy you know! We dated each other for so long till one day, they died. The stupid call from the police is still engraved in my mind. They were supposed to be home. I was supposed to take care of them, but I failed. Everyday I blame myself for it. I should've picked them up, I should've been there. I should've been the one dying, not Y/n. I still love them damnit!" Soobin breaks down with flashing memories from the day he got the call. It was the most heart breaking call he ever received.

Soobin stays at home cooking a meal for Y/n, excited to celebrate yet another milestone in their relationship. With the ring in his pocket motivating him more to make this night even special.

He cooks all of Y/n's favourite foods with a smile on his face excited to see their beautiful smile. Y/n's smile is the cutest to him, making him fall every single time. It was a reminder of their love for each other.

The same smiling she wore when he asked her to be his girlfriend 5 years ago.

Soobin sets the table placing the food and plates lighting up the candles ready for the perfect date night.

He calls Y/n to check where they are but no answer...

"Maybe she is driving?" He thinks to himself.

He sends a text, "Drive safe love, can't wait to see you!"

He pulls out the ring from his pocket smiling at it, thinking of what he will say imagining all the good times they made together the past 5 years.

His phone then rings, an incoming call.

Must be Y/n!

He answers the call without hesitation, didn't check who it was. He knew it was Y/n for sure!

"Y/n! My love? Are you on your way-" He gets cut off,

"Y/n was in a car accident. I'm sorry... she died on the way to the hospital, we did what we could."

Tears fall from his eyes, he just lost the love of his life.

Everyone has been worried for Soobin. He has been like this for so long and they still don't know what they could do.

They were all hurt by the pain evident on their best friend's face, but they all tried their best to stay strong for Soobin.

Yeonjun walked up to Soobin lifting Soobin's chin to face him and wipe away his tears.

"What if we go to the cemetery? How does that sound? Talk to her Bin." Giving Soobin a reassuring smile.

Yeonjun was on the verge of tears. It hurt him seeing his best friend cry in front of him, but he had to stay strong.

Anything to not hurt the younger more.

Soobin nods in agreement with a slight smile on his face.

Half an hour later, they arrive at the cemetery leaving Soobin alone while they waited inside the car for him.

Soobin sat down looked at the death date remembering the day they cherished most, their dating anniversary.

"Happy 6th anniversary hun. It's been exactly a year without you and the hardest year yet. Waking up in the morning without you by my side, arriving home without your soft welcoming smile and kisses, sitting down on the couch watching 'midnight sun' without your cuddles and teases about my tear stained face... It's been so different and hard without you around.

I hope everything is well up there.

I hope you're doing better than I ever will be.

I'm trying my best to heal because I know for sure that you're watching over me from above.

You've seen me at my worst state, definitely not a pleasing sight to see. I'm trying my best to heal after your death. I'm trying to get through this roller coaster.

I'll one day make you proud of my achievements. You'll see my smile again, I promise.
